[GOM] Clash of the Titans
February 14th, 2009 05:29 GMT
Thanks to Two Eight Six for the banner
Every season there is a match that promises to make the very earth quake and every denizen of the planet shiver with fear. This is that match. On 3/1/09, two gods of war will clash for control of the galaxy. The young revolutionary will fight for Aiur, his control of the corsair fleet and dark templar unmatched. To defeat him, the legend killer must summon all the fury of the Swarm. He is the perfect and merciless overmind. The battle will rage through the heavens, and only one man can emerge victorious.
This is a battle that promises to show the genius that was Jaedong vs Bisu on Blue Storm, and the brilliance that is the PvZ match-up. Both players will bring their A-Game and show us why StarCraft is better than any other game.
Lee Jae Dong
이제동, three symbols that strike fear and reverence into the hearts of man. He is a ZvP master, a match-up once considered his weakness, now considered to be his strength. Very few protoss have a chance of taking a game from this murderer, and Bisu has never been one of them.
Jaedong has been playing ZvP like Larry Fitzgerald has been playing football, and it doesn't look like this match is going to be any different. While I predict a decisive victory for the swarm, Bisu has proven me wrong again and again. This is the match-up Bisu invented. Does he have the strength to defeat the Swarm?
Kim Taek Yong
김택용, three symbols that inspire hope and incite revolution amongst the minds of Aiur. Bisu has had a stunning season, currently contending for an OSL title, and coming straight off MSL and GOM victories. Bisu certainly has the momentum on his side, but will it be enough to defeat the strongest zerg to ever walk the earth?
PvZ is the match-up Bisu revolutionized, the revolution that took down the maestro and brought him fame. However, his PvZ has been shaky since his humiliating loss to by.hero in the OSL. But a recent win against July has shown promise, and if that is any indication of his current ability, he may prove me wrong yet again. No progamer is more simultaneously loved and hated than Kim Taek Yong. He is the BoX master, the ninja, the revolutionist, the bonjwa that almost was. This is the match-up Jaedong dominates. Does he have the revolutionary edge necessary to restore his former glory?

I'm confused, is this a special show match? Could something give more info on what is the occasion? Are there other show matches in this series?

this match should've been on 3.3

It's a showmatch between the season 1 champion and the season 2 champion. There are no other GOM show matches planned.

I believe Bisu has defeated Jaedong at least twice - once in proleague, and once aages ago.
