WWI 08 is now behind us with nothing but great great memories. When we get the 2 hour long post event put together we will announce/post it.
In the mean time, here is a collection of videos mainly from last night's meet with the progamers. There are some pretty good moments in them including:

Shot from the smaller stage during an SC match - They were always packed
First TL Meet at a small French bar. Taiche set it all up for us - this is where the Blizzard Europe employees came to (they aren't in the shot). DKnight presents Idra with his WGT Cheerful
Here we start with Tasteless trying to calm down the German wc3 player XLord who had gotten pretty drunk and was rolling on the floor.
At this point through talking with Sea (who has remarkably good English). We could say things very simply and he understood everything. He realized we all played on west so he asked for our IDs to friend add us.
I don't remember what happens here...i think its pretty epic. edit: to be fair, Johnny R from Steel Series sent us a note of apology. No worries, though everyone was piss drunk....i had to bullshit the concierge to give us time to escape the mess. There was a bunch of WoW players and I blame them for any small mess.
I have another video where i was talking to these two girls from PMS Clan (counter strike players) and trying to explain who savior was. This was after i introduced them to him - they loved him enough to give him their room number....what a baller

Our thought process is this - imagine being 1997 and playing 50 games of broodwar and then trying to be credible in reporting what you saw as flawed or great. I just love how you got the koreans to wear the TL.net tshirts, very impressive! And how could I freaking miss a event like this? Even tho im pretty new to TL I think I would have a great time, hopefully some WWI will come to Europe again and I'll be sure to be there!

Hmm Im considering going to WCG 08 if the TL.net is gonna meet up there. I could went to WWI easily I just didnt think so much would happen haha, thought it would have been smaller.
Very nice coverage and pics! I like when tasteless hanging around with that Jack Daniels bottle all the time =). That German guy in the vid was so lame, seriously a pure geek trying to be "something" in front of camera. So happy Spain beat you in EuroCup.
No that was the one who gave savior her number after i told her how much money he made and how famous he was. poor savior was standing there trying to understand us. At first they didn't understand how big a deal he was, once i brought up salary they became pretty interested hahaha. i have no idea what happened after i went to bed.
Oh i was in the elevator with sea and a couple guys cause he was going to bed and hes like "oh you come my room?" and for some reason we were like "no no progamer you sleep". He goes "ah yah me sleep" i think he gave his tshirts away to a couple guys though
Fuck! I am so jealous! I was dying at work while you guys were having fun and sharing a beer with Mah Jae Yoon himself. Life is unfair. I definitely have to go to Cologne for the WCG. And pray for Savior to qualify or at least come to support a team mate. Good vids guys anyway, and nice pics Nicky.

suggestion for people uploading photo galleries: use another host!
i hate that i cant open these pictures in other tabs. clicking, waiting for it to load, clicking back is very tedious when a few middle-clicks can make viewing it a breeze. perhaps photobucket and whatnot.
Honestly, we recorded a 2 hour talk to try and fit everything and even that wasn't half of the time we'd need to discuss everything about the event. Ill make a big blog about it on my way home.

I think I know how you feel. I want to share what we went through there, but there are just no words to describe the pure awesomeness.

Come on, Savior is used to women screaming his name outloud. So it was no biggie. He knows all the openings, has her figured out, knows the counters, and not to mention his ridiculous defiler control .

Ok ill write more that i remember. Stork and Kal were not there, they were much much more shy but still very polite. THe MBC coach said they were both tired after their weekend but at that time we were too absorbed with mjy and sea to care much. We cracked open beers for the 4 koreans (they arrived last after a massive crew of wow players) and got swarmed by TL members hahah.

lol yeah he was flexing and just taunting the team they just crushed it was hylarious haha. Not as good as CJ coach Xeo though!
Oh, during the Dreiven/Kal match, Rage and xeo couldn't find a seat so they sat down beside sea who must have remembered them a bit. He was laughing and goes "draiyven...many mineral ...very bad". Maybe we already told that one.
Oh there was like no fat wow monsters at BWWI, must just be american blizzcon that gets plagued with them. Watching the L80ETC concert was the funniest thing i have ever seen. Samwise is so good hahahaha and they had a sc song called "Terran up the night"

oh. we got onto the subway and i looked to my right and samwise was sitting there with his wife/gf. i just hi and the expected banter - guy is way to powerful to felate with tl stuff.
Damn guys. This sounds like an awesome trip. I usually do not post a lot, but i am just happy that you all have experienced an awesome trip. Thank you so much for sharing photos and videos. I am expecting more on field reports. And i really want to know more about Savior gaming girls --- i want to model my game after Savior haha.

No, we don't want to access a big gallery one picture at a time in a forced chronological order, we want to choose which pictures to view, str-click them into background tabs and then cylce through *our* selection without any further loading times whatsoever (since everything is already finished loading in the background, while we still scroll through the gallery).
This is one of the aspects of modern tabbed browsing - you open stuff into background tabs all the time which greatly enhances your browsing experience and the speed at which you access and filter the huge bulks of information the internet is throwing at us. To find a web application actually *blocking* this (imho) biggest technological achievement of modern web browsing in the course of the last 10 years (thanks to Opera) is just completely demented.

to be honest we just walked in the loby and brought some beer (-: I even took a taxi and since they dont sell alcohol past midnight I had to tell the taxidriver to get me to some gloomy backstreet shop where i bought 2 more packs of beer for Mani - props to him for sponsoring the party!
It was all so crazy and a lot of fun... I loved the time spent in Paris and it was nice to meet all you guys over there. I have some pictures done with my camera, so I gonna upload them any soon. Also I tried SC2 in multiplayer a lot, so maybe I'll write some sort of summary (I have all the price/supply for the Terran units/buildings noted for example) and post it in the forums later.
See you on another party (Blizzcon or maybe WCG08 finals?) guys!

After I totally coached savior back to godly level we were talking with Sean Oh about who was the funniest guy on CJ. Apparently Xellos is a real comedian backstage etc. as opposed to his stone-cold look. I just go 'oh yeah DDR terran' and he bursts out laughing saying 'how do you know that? you know what that means?' which I promptly answered to with some universal gesture hahah. He was laughing so hard. I'm pretty sure xellos is still ddr terran.

What he basically means is that after being such a dominating player for like 2 years its really hard to keep on going. It has been very mentally challenging for him.

curse is a WoW Guild, so guess it was one of those wow gamers. I felt like shit after sleeping 1hour on your chair and my cell woke me up to catch my train. Still thanks for letting us stay there!
