It's amusing you give him credit for Prime's victory in GSTL when it was quite clear PartinG was robbed in the final. Yea... No. It was a disconnect then a regame. Sorta like how the taeja vs nestea game. Gotta love the fanboys with double standards.

That's easy; he is just simply better than everyone else. With unparalleled micro, control and mechanics, in addition to a unique approach to the game, TaeJa stands tall above everyone else and often times, even with these otherwise blunderous game-ending mistakes, TaeJa can still eke out a win against anyone. I'd say that being better than everyone else in the tournament is deserving of the #1 spot." This is a very bold and arrogant statement, saying that he is better than everyone and that he has the best mechanics and so on. Mvp and Seed are most likely better players than Taeja right now but it's a shame they are not at MLG to prove that.

Similarly, we weren't sure who the IceCream that signed up was; he might have made top 30. Btw, I like how some people are arguing Stephano should be higher while others way lower. ^^ Also, Taeja at #1 isn't biased at all. I don't even understand how people can argue that with the players attending MLG. Maybe if MVP and Seed were attending.... He is attending yep. TotalBiscuit sonspors him.

Going by that definition, he can´t be overrated by any means because he has so many tournament wins and he won so much money. A player can be overrated if people say he´s very good but he has no archievements under his belt. That´s what being overrated means. Someone who has proven himself many times has gotten out of the "zone" where you can call him overrated because he backed up his skill with a lot of sucess. If you call MKP overrated, you can call MC, DRG and MVP overrated as well. And that is obviously, just plain wrong. But it seems that Startale is your favourite team, that would explain why you choose to make such, to my mind, ridiculous and false, statements.

Other than that, the only thing I resent about this ranking is calling Stephano "an anomaly", whereas he should be considered the mark of where the foreign participants can get. Are ViOlet, Ganzi, STC, or Heart strictly better than their foreign competitors? No they are not. They represent the level of player that the foreign competitive core is at right now (SortOf, Nerchio, MaNa and so on), there is no need to embellish their superiority to foreign players when in tournaments that are not heavily Korean favoured (MLG, GSL, OSL-as-it-will-be), they are no better than their counterparts. My apologies, but I feel like everytime Liquid does a "power rank" in preparation for MLG, they brush all the facts under the carpet and just default to trumpeting Korean domination. End rant. Now, yeah, ok, this is a tournament with only 3 significant foreign players in attendance, so I guess I can forgive you. But if you were even a tad more objective, the Grubby line would be much higher and ThorZain would be ahead of the EG/coL Koreans. (Top 16 for both Mr Grubby and Mr ThorZain.. but if ThorZain flops yet again due to EG curse, top 10 for Grubby) You will see.
