[VODs] TeamSpeak TL SC2 Open #19
July 13th, 2011 18:55 GMT
TeamSpeak TL SC2 Open #19 (NA) TeamSpeak is sponsoring another TL SC2 Open Series again. The first series was a great success and produced some awesome games and provided the backbone for our TSL3 Qualifiers. You may recognize some of the past winners: Dignitas.Select, Empire.Nerchio, Empire.Kas, mouz.Thorzain, Tt.White-Ra, and many others. Recently, Korean progamers have been entering, especially from the ZeNEX team. Previous TL Open VODs can be found here.
The last TL Open, #18, was won by HwangSin, a Korean progamer who recently joined the It's Gosu team. He defeated ZeNEXHack 3-1 in the finals. The GSL Super Tournament champion, PoltPrime, also participated, making the semfinals. Check out VODs and replays from that tournament here.
Click here to view early registered players for this week.
TeamSpeak has also provided us with an official TL TeamSpeak 3 server which has been running since November 2010. You'll see many TL users hanging out there at all hours of the day, and our staff use it as a place to play team games, watch movies, and interact with the TL community. Check it out!
TeamSpeak TL SC2 #19 Tournament Details This tournament will have a prize pool of $200. Players who place high in these 12 tournaments will earn points and be invited to a single day invite tournament with $1,000 in prize money.
Registration for the tournament will open Thursday, Jul 14 10:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00). Tournament begins on Saturday, Jul 16 4:15pm GMT (GMT+00:00). View details and register here.
Professional players can PM Hot_Bid for early registration. Please include Bnet NA id, code#, race, and country.
For those that haven't participated in a TL Open before, it's a great opportunity to play in a well-run event broadcast by some great commentators. If you'd like to help cast the earlier rounds of a TL Open, feel free to apply here.
This TL Open will be cast by Chill and Liquid`TLO.

You could always cannon rush every game and see how far you get.
These are amazing. I never thought some casual Starcraft player like myself could get to round five and then get your ass handed to you by a SlayerS (a peak of my playing, I might add).
People shouldn't be hesitant to give these a try, you really have nothing to lose and so much to gain. Gogo TL OPENs.

I am always tempted to enter one of these hoping to get seeded against someone famous and get my butt handed to me (I am gold league)
Where are the Koreans?! Could there be a foreign winner once again finally? :D
:D
This is perfect. I am wanting now to get back into SC2, and what better way than through a tournament.
Just a random thought sprang to my mind, how about you guys try to find some alternative casters for the finals in the future, HSC style? Bringing in people like Tod, HasuObs and Grubby would be absolutely kick-ass and I'm sure people would love some new blood.
Anyways, TLopens are a blast neverthless, always the highlight of the day for me ; )

i love you tl and all but i just realised... you can't possibly have the TLOpens only on NA when and if they are the only way to seed into TSL 4 ? because then i'm... i will truly be sad, it would be the first really, really dump thing i would have seen coming from TL, and i'm not happy to say it
just asking considering the future

I'll join this one too. Maybe I'll win this award: 'Most TLOpens'
And finally HwangSin has signed up. We already have a winner once again

These are not qualifiers for TSL, so don't worry about that.

HwangSin fighting, win a third one!
We want a TL Open in EU server!!!!
Indeed, the European scene is quite dead right now... No big tournament: No Nasl, no MLG, No TL open, even no TSL, ... Please powerful people do something !
hm?? most of it looks korean to me bobster
Nice, mass ZeNeX and some Prime members again. I'll compete with all my diamond glory again in the hope to match up with one of these gaming titans
We've made some under-the-hood changes to the tournament pages to support multiple languages, if you see something that looks broken please send me a PM!
haha, just signed up!
hope i dont get stomped right away tho
also, anyway to find the start time in central time?
I think I'm confident as a platium player to do this... soo Let's do this!

I think we need someone to watch Kyrix's every single game. I think he'll go all the way to finals. His style will earn him a lot of wins in bo1 format.

I'm having a total brain meltdown, wtf. What time is this mountain time? 12?
Edit: Oh I can do the local time thing. I'm such a noob.
mehh NA again, really wanna try it someday
Sweet goodness. Looking forward to these tourneys.
I had an issue. The race picker was broken. Was stuck on terran.
My iphone failed me. My tower comp worked nicely. I thought that was odd =_=
A lot of Koreans there in the aprticapants, hoping Hwangsin wins again!!!
Aaaww it's on NA. If it was on EU, I think I would've signed up for my very first tournament experience. It would have been interesting to maybe draw a strong player and be raped hard like... like... yo momma!
On July 16 2011 03:19 JiYan wrote:its been stated that the rest of the TL opens are going to be NA. sorry yo
Why its that? Is this also for the qualifiers for TSL 4? i think though tha the EU gamers should have a chance to compete in more tournaments and as i see in Tournament Tracker most tournaments are on NA server even thought the EU gamers are better!!!
Alot of Koreans this week aswell :o
is there anyway to can watch stream from tlo and chill?
