It also makes sense from mafia!Xatalos POV to red check disformation. We've already pointed out that if Xata flips scum, disformation is almost surely cleared as Town. Notice how the claim comes after ruXxar's post iirc.
So, you red check someone who will be confirmed town if you die first. If we lynch disformation first, we basically waste a lynch on a confirmed town (in the world that Xata is mafia).
Also couple that with the fact a dumb cop might CC Xat instinctively and I'm left with a pretty optimal fake claim play by someone who was already going to die. Why not go 1-1 with confirmed town/cop if you can?

I think it's possible yes.

Exactly. That is also why Xatalos will have to put in effort to avoid being lynched. He should at least earn that cc if he is mafia. We should not give it to him as a present.
