The fact that you guys didn't delay like 24 hours for me is literally awful. The only reason you won is that WoS played like crap and Yamato dropped off. Palmar, congrats. You saw what I did and won the game for town, and deserve the victory. The rest of you, fie on you. Are you all really that bad? Did you want to end day 1 that early? Also on a personal note Rsoultin, you are generally a good player, but attempting to ever ignore me and also threaten me will never work. I have a policy that I've committed to that any attempt to threaten me will only result in my yelling at whoever threatens me. I also usually like to add in insults. I will literally get lynched (and have gotten lynched) in order to uphold this policy. When someone ignores my cases and attacks me or tries to coerce me in the way you did, I will always respond in the way I did. As a result, it's literally never optimal to make that kind of attack on me if you're a town player :D

Although it didn't happen to work in my favor this game, I will not change this policy. I have it for the same reason the US doesn't negotiate with terrorists-- this policy prevents promotion of bad behavior. I will not reward people for trying to coerce me, no matter what. I will only do my best to agitate them in response.

Also, as you figured out and used effectively later in this game, there was no time pressure to lynch me. All joking and fake raging aside, lynching me would be a fine decision with a static deadline but was actually a super terrible decision with the dynamic deadline. when it looked for a while like you guys were not gonna lynch obvscums yamato and wos I was pretty mad.

In other words, I regret nothing, I played great, and was only mislynched because other players are bad.

IML is generally town-favored and this segmented IML is actually sliiiiightly more town favored because it adds a bit of needed structure to IML. Although I was raging about the incompetence of the non-Palmar parts of town in the Obs QT, it really didn't matter-- given the ability to indefinitely extend the day and the deadline to add enough structure that people didn't just get totally lost, this town was fine. They cleverly extended the day until they caught the scum, which is exactly what they should do.

FWIW I don't think WoS or Yam played amazing scumgames, but as Palm said this wasn't exactly a town stacked with loud people or anything. This was a great experiment in the lynch mechanic, and thanks Hapa for trying this out!

Bah, it wasn't a plynch, you guys are just awful. You could have literally waited 24 hours. When I lie about IRL stuff, sure, lynch me if i'm trying to dodge a deadline, but there wasn't a deadline. If this was a 48 hour deadline day I wouldn't mind, because that's a stunt I pull, but I asked for 24 hours more and you were stupid and angry and lynched me. I legitimately trust you less as a mafia player if you can't see that lynching me, whether it was policy or not (and I think we all know that people were lynching me on poorly understood meta, not actual policy) was an awful move.

What's the significant difference between this and regular IML? I'm somewhat on the boat with BlazingHand here - it provides town a bit of extra structure (and therefore a slight advantage), but no major improvements.

The extra structure might make town more comfortable delaying for more information, or keep people together (and organized enough to keep talking about things) rather than allowing the game to stagnate if the day goes for 120 hours or something

That's pretty good I think!

that was a response to rsoultin. I spare you in all my rages because you played well. When I came back to thread I had basically caught yam and wos, but I was dead because many town players are super awful.

In case it isn't clear, I'm super duper salty about getting mislynched by awful players for literally no reason so I won't figure out sarcasm over internet text. I'll just be mad and easily trolled. Also, internet sarcasm is probably the hardest kind of sarcasm (thanks a LOT, Obama!) so yeah.
