It's confirmed that it's INSTEAD of the fight and not just another fight?

I'm asking because there is another part to my role that could help us confirm Obi. And since I don't have a check tonight(can't be used consecutive nights), I'm thinking of other ways to be useful tonight.

And now I'm back in. Let me just say what I was thinking.

We have been on a roll lynching scum. We have dmgd townies. Do we want to risk scum or a 3p tampering with the fights again? Like jat said, we are absolutely ok without the fighting mechanic.

I'll use the other power my role affords me(i don't want to say it and die tonight) and during the day phase, we force Obi to use his power. If I'm right, another fight cancelled and no damage to town. If I die, fight goes as planned.

Ehh I guess I could be onboard as fight promoter but it makes the target on my back even bigger. Then again, if scum doesn't want a fight, they could kill me OR just leave me alive and get onboard with my fight cancelation plan. Or kill Obi, since his power is what wed rely on.

I say if we want to cancel the fight ourselves, pick me. If we want it to go through, I would vote HF and force them to pick between targeting the confirmed towns and the promoter.

OK, because I'm not one hundred percent sure on whose action would get resolved first.

I am the ultimate fight canceller right now. If I move myself to the top or the bottom of the player list, it would be null if you moved me or someone in one of those spots and move me out of one.

Basically we can play safe and have promoter pick me to fight tomorrow and avoid mistaken DMG on a town. If I'm at the top or bottom of the list, I was thinking we could use your ability to confirm you, too.

As I'm typing this tho I'm realizing it confirms your ability, not your alignment, so idk...

Marv couldn't move player list. I think Obi said he could move people up, which can be confirmed by me being on top now. But yeah, obi/IJ roles are confirmed, just not alignment indicative. I'm not sure Breshkes is, either? I mean yeah he put me into a fight to cancel it(the Marv v HF d1) but that could've just been to earn some town credit. Objectively, scum would have no problem replacing town in a fight with another town. Best case? Town still gets dmgd. Worst case? Fight gets canceled and I get confirmed as girl/tracker/watcher AKA priority target while scum looks good for obliging.
