In this mafia context, Xatalos probably knows complaining about rolling town is not going to be perceived as towny, so what does he do instead? Attention whore it! The combination of being worried about how people perceive his townclaim, and the extra effort put into it makes him 10x more scummy.

This part in CR his case was 100% gold.
