I just had a couple of questions for the people who are still around:

1) If you're still playing Mafia (or similar forum games), where are you playing these days? I looked at a couple of alternatives in case I wanted to play a game (mainly for nostalgic reasons ), and none of them seemed very promising. Most sites seemed to be dead/inactive and the ones that were relatively active (like Mafia Universe etc.) appeared to be overrun by political activism (such as being filled with all sorts of political flags/symbols as well as various gender symbols/pronouns), which is not exactly a deal-breaker in itself, but it indicates the atmosphere may not be for me otherwise either. I really wouldn't want the game to be ruined by accidentally misgendering someone or all kinds of banter / fun / entertaining in-game drama to be banned. Perhaps it's not so strict over there either, but the atmosphere just didn't look like it was focused on having fun, which discouraged me emotionally from joining a game to try it out. Especially since I didn't have any previous ties to other sites in the first place.

2) If not Mafia, are people playing other games with somewhat similar themes like Diplomacy? I heard that playdiplomacy.com was hacked/abandoned or something, and I couldn't easily find a Diplomacy site that people agreed was a good place to play these days. I used to like playdiplomacy.com in the past but I've read enough negative things about it in recent years to discourage trying it out as well.

3) If neither of those, is there something else new that is interesting? Preferably something that the average past Mafia / Diplomacy player might be expected to enjoy.

4) How many people are still lurking around the TL Mafia forum anyway? There seem to be a few accounts that have continued posting from time to time, but I assume the amount of people not posting but still viewing this forum is considerably higher. If there are enough people still somewhat active (such as 5-20 people, for example?) then perhaps it would actually be possible to try something for the old times' sake. Such as a Mafia / Diplomacy game, or something like that, depending on what people like these days.

I don't think I can invest a large amount of time into anything for the long term, but the next month or two shouldn't be all *that* busy for me.
