Welcome to the Mini Mafia III. While the objectives of the game are the same as those of the larger games previously hosted on here on TL.net, the setup of this game will be slightly different. As usual, the game will alternate between the day cycle, where the town will be able to discuss and vote to lynch one member of the town, and the night cycle, where the mafia will get to decide which player to kill. Also, all blue roles with night actions may act via PM during the night cycle only. A mafia player count greater than or equal to the innocent player count results in a mafia win, while the elimination of all mafia players results in a town win. If neither of these conditions are met, the day/night cycle continues as usual.
What is different about this game? Well, for one, mafia operate on 1 KP rules. This means that mafia get 1 KP per night throughout the game regardless of the number of mafia alive. Secondly, the voting rules have been slightly altered. If at any point a single player has the majority of votes, the day will end whether we have reached the time limit for the day cycle. Therefore, a day might be cut short if the town reaches a consensus quickly. Thirdly, all tie votes end with a no lynch. There is no tiebreaker in this game. Finally, the role setup is hidden. I will post a list of the possible roles that are in the game. Each role may or may not be used in the game setup. However mafia number will stay consistent at 3 for an 11 player game.

Voting:
1. You must post your vote in the separate voting thread in bold. 2. Votes should be made in this format:
I vote for (insert player name here)
3. You can not autochange your vote to the losing or winning bandwagon. 4. You may abstain, but must let me know: ie: "I abstain from voting". 5. If the final vote count shows a tie between the top two candidates, the day ends with a no lynch. 6. You may vote for a no lynch. If a majority of the people vote for a no lynch, the day ends without anyone's death.
Cheating:
Cheating includes (but is not limited to) the following and will get you banned from future games: 1. Creating or using an alternate ("smurf") account to play/post in this game. Players are getting very sick of this. Don't do it to have two characters in the game. Don't do it to post/PM anonymously. Don't do it for anything. 2. Posting after death. One polite goodbye post is acceptable but please do not post anything which could POSSIBLY affect the game. 3. Betraying your role and ruining the game for everyone by doing something like hand out your mafia's member list to the town. 4. Logging on to someone else's account / checking their PMs / looking over someone's shoulder to get their role. 5. Comparing role PM times to determine roles. 6. Posting screenshots of your inbox. This is not a photoshop competition. 7. No post editing. Do not do it for any reason.
Clues:
There are no clues. So don't look for them.
Time cycle:
Day/Night cycle will be 48/24 hours, subject to change.
Ban List: A banlist will be used at mod's discretion.
Modkills: Hopefully I don't have to. However, if you miss more than one vote, you will be modkilled. (You may still abstain if you wish, and this won't count against you). This is a short game, so if you don't think you can actively participate, don't join please. There will (hopefully) be plenty small games in the future.
Credits: Chuiu, Ace, Tracil, Caller, BloodyC0bbler, Qatol, Ver, LTT, Pyrrhuloxia, and Plexa for taking the time to run mafia games for us. Also to Chuiu for the TL Mafia banner.
Please read this section. There are two new (not really new, but re-added) roles. All Roles with night actions may act at any day. There is no night 2 restriction for vigis.
Remember, all role counts are hidden. So just because a role is listed here does not mean it is necessarily in the game!
Town Aligned Roles
Townie: You have no special powers other than the ability to vote. But you are necessary for a town victory! So help purify the town and be active!
Detective: You have the ability to ask for the role of a specific player. You may only use your ability once per night and you may only act at night. However, you may use your ability every night.
Medic: You have the ability to prevent one hit on a player of your choice during the night. As 1 KP rules apply, mafia cannot kill the person you choose to protect. However, neither you nor the person you have protected will be notified if you have made a successful save. If you protect a veteran, your ability overrides the veteran's extra life. You are not allowed to protect yourself.
Vigilante: You may, only once during the game, kill a player of your choice during the night. If your hit overlaps with mafia, your hit will be canceled and you will be able to use your hit at any future night.
Veteran: You've been around the block a few times and know how to escape an attack on your life. You have an additional night life, which means that you must be hit twice in order to die (these two hits may either be both mafia hits or a mafia and a vigilante hit). You will also know if your extra life has been activated. If you are being protected by a medic, the medic's ability will override yours.
Miller: The Miller is back! You are a townie in every way except that if a DT role checks you, the DT will be told that you are a Mafia. However, you do not know that you are the Miller. Your role pm will say that you are a townie. The Miller will be revealed as a Miller upon their death. The miller is on the side of the Townies, and wins if they win.
Mafia Aligned Roles
Mafia: Your goal is to eliminate everyone else in the town. Your ability, as a group, is killing off whomever you decide on at night and knowing the role of each other player in the mafia. You may choose to kill nobody if you so choose. You MAY kill other mafia. As a whole, your KP is 1 throughout the whole game, so choose wisely! The mafia also must choose the Godfather from among themselves. If they do not choose by night 1, I will randomly choose for you.
Godfather: You are the head of the mafia, and when role checked, will show up as any role of your choice. You must choose before Day 1 is over, otherwise I will randomly choose for you.
Saboteur: You are a special mafia role, and may disable one players' abilities once a day/night cycle (excluding the right to vote). To use your role, you must simply tell me who you wish to disable before day starts and I disable that player from using their special role the following day and night. You may not use this on the mayor election lynch and only the player whose abilities are disabled will be informed of the action. You may not use this role on the same person two consecutive day/nights in a row.
Please do not sign up for this game if you are playing in TL Mafia XVI. If you have been bumped off the player list for the TL Mafia XVI game, you have priority here.
The new wave of immigrants to Liquidia made the place feel strange. Kinda like it had multiple dimensions. Mayor Incognito thought that the disturbances might have been due to the concentration of weirdness in the town. Sheriff Qatol however, had too much to drink that night, and thought that it might be due to the combined presence of Caller, Chezinu, and nemY in one game. Or maybe I’m drunk. Anyway, the weirdness began on Friday night, when Incognito was looking at the large mural on his office wall. Strange as it was, the mural appeared to be in 3-D, and it was moving. Incognito was puzzled, and pulled out his gun, shooting at some of the movements in the wall.
Suddenly, the wall stopped moving, and all that was left was two bullet holes in the plain, white wall. Now Incognito thought he really must have been drunk. He ran next door to Qatol’s office, but was met by a blast of scorching flames as he rounded the corner. Chuckling to himself, the killer started picking off the burnt skin from Incognito’s charred body, and began to paste it on the Qatol’s wall. A moment later, the killer heard a scream down the hallway, and slowly crept closer until he found that Qatol had spilled some coffee on himself. But he didn’t need to do any more, as Qatol the spilled coffee had managed to freeze and encase Qatol into a hard, cold block of ice. Laughing, the killer hauled the frozen block back and put it up against the mural he was creating in Qatol’s office…

Good morning! So, I was like I'm not going to read my role pm! After reading the thread, I couldn't resist. Usually at this point in the game I would agreed with my associate redtooth and roleclaim townie because everyone said you can't roleclaim day one. So I was going to roleclaim townie day 1 just for the lulz. But as I told people, I will try to play like a normal person this game. It is going to be hard, but I have to try, unless people want me to act crazy again - then I gladly will!

L is not in this game so I can take up the role of arguing with you and eventually trying to get you killed. Your rants on people are a great source of entertainment in these games, and I just find it odd that you aren't quite starting out the same way. Listing off Amber and Vivi is a step in the right direction, but last game you put RoL below Nemy and Vivi, and I don't think RoL did anything in the last game to impress you enough to have a higher opinion of him. You also left off Nemy. Maybe being scumbuddies with him for a whole game cast him in a new light.
Still, I agree with you about Amber, though. I really didn't like the way he played the last game he was in, and all he'd done so far in this game is show me how unhelpful he'll be for the town if he is town.

i don't remember you being in earlier mafia games (if you were excuse me) but the hosts would get so much flak if the special roles (red/blue) seemed "rigged". we've had games where the randomness of role assignment would reduce the challenge and duration of the game (MoC's godfather game comes to mind) but its all part of the game.

I suggest you check it out as there is even a mention of me to this day in regards to my explosive anger usages, intense overreaction, and a serious of long post back in the day when people accuse me as mafia and I wasn't. Also I'm mentioned in the "purple marked thread" rules along with JeeJee; in reference of the game I played. ^_^

Still, that was a bit overreaction from RoL imo after looking thru the thread. Same with Zulu, perhaps if they have lighten down a little bit and not make extreme remarks like what they have stated, especially RoL, this ban may not have happened....

That's alright, I wasn't around in between those two actually. It was a gap of many moons so it's reasonable.
The thing about zulu was that he was a former TL mod so it is possible that he only got a warning or they were just going easy on him.....
Now regarding the mafia game itself, are we in the random stage to just simply vote off anybody we think is mafia??

The best help I can be at this point is a guide for the rest of the town in the long run. You've got three retards that obviously can't get enough of me so they wanted to lynch me off the bat.
Ace: Genuine self-imposed retard of all mafia games. He has no problem bad-mouthing people when he's a green or blue role. Though when he's green he typically acts like how he's acting right now. His attitude has changed since I'm on the "ace radar of people who make him cry at night." So you can't find out much about him since he's so arbitrary to begin with his lynch vote is nothing more.
Redtooth: I don't even know who you are. Automatically on the first day he makes some ridiculous claim for some unknown reason. He has changed his vote since then.
Chezinu: Another player I know nothing about other than the one game we played where he PMed everybody about his brown crew or something. Since then he has also changed his vote.
I've never played a mini mafia before guys. If you guys want to lynch me, have a fucking good reason. Don't parade around the thread saying you want to lynch me because you don't like me. And if you didn't like how I played in the last mafia game, then get the fuck over it. People change guys. In a game without clues is it so ridiculous for me to think I was being ambushed from the very start for no god damned reason?
Think about it. Incog is a smart cookie. He's probably been paying attention to the games that Ace and I have been in. He wouldn't give me a mafia role and Ace a townie role and think I'm going to make it past day 1. Ace will give as little information as possible just saying "I don't mind if Amber[LighT] dies either way." You want to talk about someone being unhelpful? Talk to the person that wants me lynched not because I'm red, but because he can't put his emotions behind him (funny now that I think of it that's what he accused me of doing the last time I played. ohhhh the irony....). Honestly Ace and I are probably both townies, if anything.

The confusion and finger-pointing commenced even though it was clear everyone was randomly voting. To kick off the festivities, the town randomly decided to bestow two titles on two townspeople. The town also decided to have a ritual sacrifice since they were bored out of their minds, and chose Amber[Light] to be the sacrifice. The town may have become more sober after this event if they could see Amber[Light]'s blood flowing green. Unfortunately, since they sacrificed him as a burnt offering, nobody could see the color of his blood as Amber[Light] was consumed by fire and was no more.

But god, after that last night (or rather morning where I had no sleep) MSL finals, I'm just going to go ahead and take a few steps back before positing. Okay, so here goes:

Apparently the ritual sacrifice that the mafias made can lead to a clue to someone who can and have any relations to ritual or sacrifice type thing among us. Especially note the blood flowing green part as even though he was shown up as green, there's no way someone's blood is green as it is red normally. Burnt offering, unable to see color of blood, consumed by fire, all of these can also lead to something...

BloodyC0bbler was hiding behind his menu at a bar, staring suspiciously at the other side of the room, where Caller was laughing hysterically. Clearly drunk, Caller commenced causing chaos by cracking all the glasses that he could see. The other customers ran in fear, as Caller was smashing the glasses with a sharp dagger. As he approached BloodyC0bbler’s table, he was greeted by the barrel of a gun and a stern menacing look. But Caller was unperturbed as he kept on laughing hysterically while throwing beer at BloodyC0bbler’s face. BloodyC0bbler was at first shocked, but quickly regained composure and pulled the trigger, putting an end to Caller’s face. Unfortunately for BloodyC0bbler, a man behind him threw a match at him, causing his beer-drenched face to burst into flames. BloodyC0bbler reached for something to put out the fire. Too bad beer doesn’t put out fires very well. BloodyC0bbler continued to burn as he threw some beer into his face in hopes of putting the fire out. But the fire just kept getting worse, and after a few moments, BloodyC0bbler finally died from asphyxiation. Unfortunately, the man who threw the match ran out of the building and was never found.

1) Caller voted for Vivi, and was the only one. It's possible it was a bus because it seems insignificant, but I think it puts Vivi in a good light for now.

Welcome to the Mini Mini Mafia III. While the objectives of the game are the same as those of the larger games previously hosted on here on TL.net, the setup of this game will be slightly different. As usual, the game will alternate between the day cycle, where the town will be able to discuss and vote to lynch one member of the town, and the night cycle, where the mafia will get to decide which player to kill. Also, all blue roles with night actions may act via PM during the night cycle only. A mafia player count greater than or equal to the innocent player count results in a mafia win, while the elimination of all mafia players results in a town win. If neither of these conditions are met, the day/night cycle continues as usual.
What is different about this game? Well, for one, mafia operate on 1 KP rules. This means that mafia get 1 KP per night throughout the game regardless of the number of mafia alive. Secondly, the voting rules have been slightly altered. If at any point a single player has the majority of votes, the day will end whether we have reached the time limit for the day cycle. Therefore, a day might be cut short if the town reaches a consensus quickly. Thirdly, all tie votes end with a no lynch. There is no tiebreaker in this game. Finally, the role setup is hidden. I will post a list of the possible roles that are in the game. Each role may or may not be used in the game setup. However mafia number will stay consistent at 3 for an 11 player game.
What else is different?
It is a mafia game within a game! What more could you ask for? Oh, there is something else that you need to know If I die, the game dies!. So, if you want to play don't kill the host!

Voting:
1. You must post your vote in the separate voting thread in bold. 2. Votes should be made in this format:
I vote for (insert player name here)
3. You can not autochange your vote to the losing or winning bandwagon. 4. You may abstain, but must let me know: ie: "I abstain from voting". 5. If the final vote count shows a tie between the top two candidates, the day ends with a no lynch. 6. You may vote for a no lynch. If a majority of the people vote for a no lynch, the day ends without anyone's death.
Cheating:
Cheating includes (but is not limited to) the following and will get you banned from future games: 1. Creating or using an alternate ("smurf") account to play/post in this game. Players are getting very sick of this. Don't do it to have two characters in the game. Don't do it to post/PM anonymously. Don't do it for anything. 2. Posting after death. One polite goodbye post is acceptable but please do not post anything which could POSSIBLY affect the game. 3. Betraying your role and ruining the game for everyone by doing something like hand out your mafia's member list to the town. 4. Logging on to someone else's account / checking their PMs / looking over someone's shoulder to get their role. 5. Comparing role PM times to determine roles. 6. Posting screenshots of your inbox. This is not a photoshop competition. 7. No post editing. Do not do it for any reason.

There are no clues. So don't look for them.
Time cycle:
Day/Night cycle will be 24/24 hours
Ban List: A banlist will be used at mod's discretion.

This is a short game, so if you don't think you can actively participate, don't join please. There will (hopefully) be plenty small games in the future.

Please read this section. There are two new (not really new, but re-added) roles. All Roles with night actions may act at any day. There is no night 2 restriction for vigis.

Town Aligned Roles
Townie: You have no special powers other than the ability to vote. But you are necessary for a town victory! So help purify the town and be active!
Detective: You have the ability to ask for the role of a specific player. You may only use your ability once per night and you may only act at night. However, you may use your ability every night.
Medic: You have the ability to prevent one hit on a player of your choice during the night. As 1 KP rules apply, mafia cannot kill the person you choose to protect. However, neither you nor the person you have protected will be notified if you have made a successful save. If you protect a veteran, your ability overrides the veteran's extra life. You are not allowed to protect yourself.
Vigilante: You may, only once during the game, kill a player of your choice during the night. If your hit overlaps with mafia, your hit will be canceled and you will be able to use your hit at any future night.
Veteran: You've been around the block a few times and know how to escape an attack on your life. You have an additional night life, which means that you must be hit twice in order to die (these two hits may either be both mafia hits or a mafia and a vigilante hit). You will also know if your extra life has been activated. If you are being protected by a medic, the medic's ability will override yours.
Miller: The Miller is back! You are a townie in every way except that if a DT role checks you, the DT will be told that you are a Mafia. However, you do not know that you are the Miller. Your role pm will say that you are a townie. The Miller will be revealed as a Miller upon their death. The miller is on the side of the Townies, and wins if they win.
Mafia Aligned Roles
Mafia: Your goal is to eliminate everyone else in the town. Your ability, as a group, is killing off whomever you decide on at night and knowing the role of each other player in the mafia. You may choose to kill nobody if you so choose. You MAY kill other mafia. As a whole, your KP is 1 throughout the whole game, so choose wisely! The mafia also must choose the Godfather from among themselves. If they do not choose by night 1, I will randomly choose for you.
Godfather: You are the head of the mafia, and when role checked, will show up as any role of your choice. You must choose before Day 1 is over, otherwise I will randomly choose for you.
Saboteur: You are a special mafia role, and may disable one players' abilities once a day/night cycle (excluding the right to vote). To use your role, you must simply tell me who you wish to disable before day starts and I disable that player from using their special role the following day and night. You may not use this on the mayor election lynch and only the player whose abilities are disabled will be informed of the action. You may not use this role on the same person two consecutive day/nights in a row.

Oh yeah sorry I haven't done much. I was out this entire weekend... and really like nobody's been posting (including myself lol), so it's hard to base much off of anything. Either way it sucks that we had a nk.
All was quiet in the town. But not too quiet... After he told the town that he wanted to leave town for 90 days to avoid playing the sheriff's game, Motbob was too dead to notice the bullet in his head. By evening, not a single person in town voted. So that night no one died by votes and the sheriff prepared bullets for the town in case they decided not to vote the following day. Maybe next time we will have at least a single vote.

Night rolled on as a thick blanket of fog covered the ground. From his apartment building, redtooth could see the clouds covering the floor beneath. The sea of fog soothed him at first, but as he closed his eyes, a purple spark in the distance jolted him out of his trance-like state. Curious, he decided to go investigate. After all, strange things had been happening recently in this town.
As he approached the site of the purple spark, redtooth noticed that the sparks were pulsating around what appeared to be a square frame which was framing nothingness. He peered around to see if anybody was looking, and noticed a dark shape in the distance. Redtooth held his breath, but soon breathed a sigh of relief when he noticed a hawk-like figure attack it. His relief soon turned to shock however, when the hawk gave a shriek and plunged straight in his direction. Ducking quickly, redtooth spun around to watch the hawk fly though the purple frame and turn into a silhouette. Strangely enough though, redtooth could now clearly see what was once a dark shape was now a live rat with distinct features. Redtooth's heart was beating now, and he quickly fled the scene. A quick glance backwards didn't give him any comfort, as more shadowy figures gathered around the frame. They quickly poured through the gate, materializing into beasts, monsters, and other grotesque creatures. Redtooth let out a scream, but it was too late. The recently manifested creatures overtook redtooth, entering his mouth and nostrils before he exploded with a blinding flash.
Meanwhile, redtooth's sat on his balcony. Tranquility had also taken hold of this neighbor until he noticed movement on the roof. Swearing that he had seen a man with a camera on the top of the apartment building roof, redtooth's neighbor quickly ran inside to call the police. But when he came back outside to his balcony, he could see no man on the roof. Perplexed, the man walked back inside his apartment as a crow spread its wings and took off, flying towards the moon.

It seems as if Liquidia had become a ghost town, a town where the number of posts did not exceed the number of players playing the game. The sluggish town decided to kill nemY today, and celebrated the fact that the night post was only 11 posts under the day post by holding a feast. nemY was led to the courthouse, where a large banqueting table had been placed. The town then decapitated nemY and ate him, much like one would eat sashimi.

Quickstriker noticed the tornado moving toward his house, and strangely enough, he decided to get his camera out. He waited out on his front porch as the tornado aproached, but was shocked as the flying straw whizzed by his head and poked a whole straight into his car, which was sitting behind him. Confused, Quickstriker thought the mafia were upon him. The tornado grew closer and closer, and Quickstriker noticed that someone had been throwing objects at the tornado. Squinting, he could see a sink, a basketball, and a hand grenade all whirling around the tornado. Quickstriker broke out of his trance when he heard a piercing cry. When he turned around, he saw nothing. He wouldn't see anything anymore, as a sink flew through the air and severed his brachial artery.

As a fitting end to an unfittingly depressing game, motbob ran through the streets like a maniac, yelling all along the way. In an attempt to get the fool to shut up, Chezinu jumped out of the bushes and smashed a mirror on motbob's head. But motbob still ran around the streets as if nothing had happened. Fortunately, Scamp was there to end his life once and for all.
As the sun rose the next day, the dark heavy sky weighed down like a blanket over the town, as Vivi57 walked to the gallows. His head drooping with apathy, the last thing he saw before the platform dropped was a silhouette walking out of the town in the horizon. That silhouette was Ace, who had snuck out of the town drunk after neglecting his duties as medic.

From then on Apologist replaced Legendary and Revolutionary and joined Corps and Suicidal on a long journey of finding a new town.

It is a mafia game within a game! What more could you ask for? Oh, there is something else that you need to know If I die, the game dies!. So, if you want to play don't kill the host!
Hrm. I wasn't involved in this game, and I don't really know the history between all of you guys as players, but if someone thinks they're a good player and doesn't put in the effort to help their side win, I think it's disrespecting the host and the effort the host has put in to run the game.
