They're just placeholers for strategy and tactics respectively. I think

Honestly with the new structure that Dig is using atm (head coach+4 staff members) as the split progresses the team will look better and better. (Im not a part of this structure, but still part of Dig as an org)

Zion's a great person to interview. Actually gives real answers more so than "yea it was good/bad"

That's kind of sad news. What will you be doing for dignitas now?

Dota-type games have always had both micro and macro. One way to think about it is that micro is basically controlling your own unit and macro is the general strategy or controlling your entire team(usually done by your leader).

Well.

Let's see if TSM can win this one. I definitely would guess they're like 95-5 to win according to polls. By the way, I really don't like how Riot is handling teams having 2 games in a day. For example, Dignitas's pair is only one match apart. In my opinion, the teams that have multiple matches in a day should have the first and the final match slots reserved to them so that they get more time to prepare in between them.

When you have 6 matches a day, it's not possible to make teams play first and last.
And one hour is more than enough to chill out mentally, especially if you're Dignitas, they clearly don't care l0l.

Just seems weird in a lol-context to me, as a guy who has played sc2 for so long because it's just not even close to the same thing as in starcraft. Macro just isn't the same thing as strategy and map movements to me, I don't recall Squirtle being the 'god of macro' but rather the god of strategy and builds. I guess they just can't hear the word 'rotations' anymore.

i'm not sure you want to spend your whole day at the location either.
if i'd compare that to exams every week, i would prefer them rather close together instead of 5 hours apart.

lol. Macro/micro predates SC2 and even BW. Just because they were your reference point doesn't mean that is what it means exclusively.

I would even argue that Starcraft itself has actually debased the term, not the other way around.

is it easier to understand how it fits when you think of the relation between macro and micro economics? the actual meaning of the word is small scope vs. large scope

micro = your character/lane
macro= your team/the map

Starting off 2-0 for a restructured team like Dignitas is actually a really good start. Beating the teams you're expected to beat is always one of the key elements for being a mid tier team in any league. The next step is to prove that they can challenge the top teams. I think they will get some 'upset' wins against some of the stronger teams just on the basis of their strong lanes. Their early game is going to yield them some wins - even if they do their best to throw it.

That said I don't think they will get close to C9 who is clearly the strongest NA team and the smartest too.
Mess with the best, die like the rest!

They're freaking pro teams, holy shit.
What are they doing?

- Sleep.
- Gym (possibly)
- Soloqueue
- Scrimming.
There are still food breaks but it's play-play-play in general.

And there is one positive thing anyway - Dignitas has 1 game tomorrow so they will be able to run out faster :D

Anyway.
