One part is definitely the pick/ban phase. In this particular game they counterpicked themselves in both solo lanes, picking trundle/syndra after renek/LB were already chosen. You can be way more skilled but if you dont give yourself a chance in the parameters of the game then yea...you're gonna get behind early and its hard to come back after this in this snowbally game. hence why all the strong early game characters are FOTM for the most part

You have DFG Grail and Void Staff, don't be greedy and build a Banshee ffs. yeah. her ultimate doesn't have the best ap scaling anyway, it's way better to get it off and live, it doesn't instantly kill anyway. Drop one Q, get a 0.8 AP ratio. Not like it's bad.
MINIMUM DAMAGE (3 SPHERES): 270 / 405 / 540 (+ 60% AP) MAXIMUM DAMAGE (7 SPHERES): 630 / 975 / 1260 (+ 140% AP) what? this is like the worst scaling of any ap ultimate in the game compared to its base damage.
you want dfg and magic penetration to amplify the damage, not AP

He didn't have to 100-0 them, though, since the team was usually focusing people rather well (emphasis on "rather"). Void Staff could have waited for a bit. At least getting a Cowl would have been big.

There was more jungle interventions/roams from C9, and they still held (sure they lost their towers first, but Voyboy didn't really die like a Syndra could easily to LB and was ahead in farm, same with Quas who was ahead in farm and took a bunch of tower damage because of a roam at some point).

Coast and Curse shat on the challenger scene as well during the off-season, LMQ's spot in LCS summer is far from being as guaranteed as people think

Also note that they'll have Uzi in LCS once they get in. (which is around where Coast is at)

I said peak performance, because I've seen the people on LMQ play back in China and god knows the competition is harder there lol. Their peak performance is without a doubt superior to 5-6 of the NA LCS teams, it's just a question of if they can consistently do it.

They are way too cautious/scared and they get bullied off the map constantly. They total lack killer instict and decisiveness. When the time to strike comes you should go like a lightning as "sun tzu" says in "art of war", they are the kind of team who will ask each other if they should go or not. Also in their communication they pass too much useless info to each other.

They're allowed to compete to earn a chance for LCS so what happens when one of them eventually succeeds.
