Looper only plays singed in yolo queue iirc

I hope Dade just thought he could hide some champs during groups becasue it's not looking good otherwise, Ryze is just not an ok pick at the moment.

I think Looper fucked himself hard for being cocky and playing singed again. Gambit was like LOL SINGED? OK DOUBLE % health damage incoming.

They manned up and shook hands at the end though.

Que? both are 1-1. SKT lost to OMG, OMG are really good too and Ozone lost to Gambit, Gambit are also very good. It's not like they just lost to something completely unexpected.

After day one, best looking teams were OMG, SKT and Gambit.
Ozone played like trash, really.
Vulcun look promising, but need to keep it up. Still not 100% sold on them.
TSM, Lemondogs and Fnatic are all still at zero for me. Destroyed one of the minnows, but got stomped by one of the contenders.
Mineski and GG.eu will be fighting for one victory.

not really cocky, singed counter pick to Shen is pretty standard in Korea.

SKT really should not be worried. OMG got ahead early, are an extremely strong team, and while they did win, you could see Faker, Piglet and the rest show their skill during a lost fought.
Ozone were just bad.

The sell of Ozone to Khan sure looks like a smart decision now.

from a mechanics standpoint, i feel ozone is still the #1 team in the world. dade for all his fuckups that game still can play the flash reaction and etc. etc. very well.
however, dade's mental state and their general early game plans and picks seem lacking from watching this first game. dade's still picking ryze as though this was several patches before (when ryze still had the range to effectively harass ahri without risk of getting charmed as long as he had movespeed parity or advantage) and obviously his gameplay and scores speak for themselves.
yango and i were joking that this is the faker effect - all the mids faker has crushed in the reverse sweeps (ryu, and now dade) seem to be less clutch and have less mental fortitude vs the opponents that matter. i hope he can wake up and pick his shit up in day 2.

Really surprised by that game. I was a big time Gambit doubter from this Summer split since the loss of Edward but once again they show up for the big games.

I'm starting to think the Ryze picks have nothing to do with disrespect and more to do with deeper problems with Dade's champ pool.

Still though,
Picks were
Shen Zyra / Vayne Sona / Ahri Jarvan IV / Singed Kog'Maw / Evelynn Ryze
so picked singed with two picks remaining on gambit side (which ends up with eve and kogmaw who are both % health damage)
they could have easilly got jarvan and ryze since they already knew ahri was going mid and dade seemed pretty intent on going on ryze anyways.
i stand by my statement with looper being cocky or whoever was in charge of pick and bans being cocky.

The casters saying that Ozone didn't pink enough, but didn't Gambit pick off a lot of pinks? I was like they are controlling the pink race really good, especially in the early dragons.

Rivington with nothing to add here at the analysis desk xD

Ozone just plainly underestimated Gambit. They realized they were down a great sum of gold, around 5k gold at one point but relied on being better in teamfights to make up for it. Slowly losing team fights the lead went to 7k gold, and 10k+ and it snowballed too hard for Ozone to handle. Gambit just played solidly
