As each tournament goes by I think CLGs decision to kick Saint is more and more justified. CLG have only gotten better since the swap and Curse haven't really improved a whole lot (When everyone expected they would as Saint appeared to be a big upgrade).

To follow up on what I said about Saint earlier:

The biggest problem is that he is so predictable. If he has the choice of doing A, B or C, you know he is going to do B every single time. If you know how one player on a team is going to behave, and their shot-caller at that, it becomes incredibly easy to plan around them. SaintV hasn't changed his play enough to adapt to what everyone else is doing. When you watch Azubu Helios, he's incredibly flexible. He pull off these amazing counterganks because you can't tell what he's going. (Well, at least not until people analyse him much more)

Another thing with Saint is that he's very good if he can stick to his pre-planned routes and patterns. But push him into uncomfortable territory, and he's much less effective. In TSM v Crs, it kept reminding me of the IPL Finals CLG.NA v TSM Series 2. When Saint gets counterjungled at his starting location, he can't recover very well. Especially since you know what he's going to do, so you can shut him down even more.

His third problem is that he likes zerging the AD Carry too much. This was a major problem on CLG. He's far too aggressive and goes ballistic sometimes which leaves his backline exposed. And once the AD Carry goes down, it's all downhill from there. He's too impatient and greedy, trying to go for Buffs he knows are warded and delaying key skills to try and get maximum value when he just needs it now. It was fine back in CLG when the rest of his team was good enough to cover for his moves and outclassed most other teams in general. But the level of competition is much higher how. And he's got to carry Elementz support (who can't make plays).

Saint is still a good player. But he's being outclassed right now. Just as TOO had to adapt and learn to jungle again, SaintV is going to need to do the same to get back to his old form.

I think a much bigger part of it is more his team has been getting outplayed in general recently.

All three of the games vs TSM not a single one of his lanes won, and in every single game atleast one of his lanes was upt to 50 CS behind.

Teams see Saint as the scariest part of Curse and they put all of their pressure there. TSM took every opportunity they had to deny saint resources and keep him out of the game. Every series in recent history in which even just one of Curse's lanes didn't fall severely behind on their own Curse usually wins.

In retrospect, I think the biggest factor in Oddones resurgence is just Regi stopped losing Mid every game, and Dyrus brought some mental stability to the team because whether Rainmain was really losing them games or not he was getting the blame every game and TSM went into games deciding TRM was going to lose top.

Na man I remember watching Oddone during his derpy period. He still bought way too many wards, did way too much camping like you could in the old jungle. Oddone doesn't have a huge ego so when he saw in his chat everyone telling him the problems he wasn't seeing, he listened and changed.

This.
I still think Regi has his derp moments. Dyrus was an upgrade. Bot lane is their most consistent. But most improved is def OddOne. No one can call him a support jungle anymore.

I remember making jokes about TOO's Shyvana, and how he used W to move faster to place more wards and ignore jungle camps for minutes on end. (He really did do this btw.) No more. TOO is legit a threat on TSM, if often overlooked.

SaintV still looks like the same Saint from months ago. If you compare his games from even IEM Cologne a year ago and now, they look so similar. Indeed, CLG mentioned before that despite being known as one of the most diverse junglers, Saint is actually very limited when it comes to junglers he is truly comfortable playing in a tournament. Iirc, they said de can pretty much only play Shyvana, Mundo, Udyr and Nocturne at a comfortable level and plays other junglers out of necessity. Those are all farm junglers. That's insanely limited and it really shows. Why else would TSM use a valuable ban on Shyvana when there are other important targets for them to ban? It's the only time they've banned Shyvana as well. They gave up Urgot to ban out Shyvana. That's how much they're willing to give up to shut down Saint. And it worked.
It's like, "Is the Federation's Mobile Suit some kind of monster?"

Too bad the other members of CLG don't have great team personalities. Everyone just seems really distant from each other. I think they got "a little better" not a lot better.

Doublelift and Chauster are pretty close
Jiji and SV used to be really tight too, always duoing and coordinating mid/jungle ganks
It was really HSGG who separated himself tbh

wat. Chauster, jiji, and Hotshot have been playing together longer than any other team in LoL. Doublelift got into professional scene by making friends with Hotshot. Voyboy has always been close to CLG. I don't understand this at all lol.

Even at the time I wouldn't have considered Saint much of an upgrade from Crumbz. Crumbz was a damn good jungler.

Chauster basically thinks doublelift can't do anything by himself, jiji despite being with them for a long time doesn't really have a personality that fits with them, and doublelift always blames someone else and I honestly thought he would leave the team rather than SV by the way he kept talking poorly about the team's direction and practice methods.

Doublelift is trying to make a decent team out of CLG though, they'll still just a bunch of good solo queue players...

Doublelift tells it as it is everytime he talk about how CLG.na plays, It's not like he's straight shit talking.

And I don't think anyone can really say doublelift being a weak player on CLG anymore, he's been one of the most consistent.

I predict every single game including the finals to be 3-0.
The problem is just that they picked 3 teams who are so far apart close games just arnt going to happen. At best your going to see a 2-1 from a giant throw in the 1 loss.
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death
