I don't think it's a well designed item: - Tanks struggle to make good use of it because it's not that easy to stack for melee champs. But it can't be too strong, or else everyone will turn into a Sion tier health stacker. On ARAM, that's exactly what happens. - This item was designed in a vacuum, without looking at other tank items. Specifically Titanic, you can easily reach 150 bonus AD with it and 150 on-hit damage. Watched a GM game with a fed Cho that had 380 AD without building a single other AD item... - Numerous ranged champs can abuse it very hard. I watched a tank Karma on ARAM who literally could not die unless 5 enemy players focused her, 3 of which had BotRK. - Champs that have no right to build this item are doing so. Heartseeker Vel sounds like a troll build, but the extra health lets him go for full combos and do %true damage to multiple targets, while face tanking anything you throw at him. I expect this item to not be broken for tanks, but some weird champions will abuse it hard enough to get patched. Regarding ARAM balance, it is a very strong item, but people blindly spam it which is bad. 4 players with Heartseeker means an enemy with BotRK can facetank your team like some inverse tank (build dmg to be tanky hehe). But it sucks that the entire game mode revolves around one item now. | ||

Maybe only in ARAM there is some issue with the Heart item I think people play against some of the champs that REALLY abuse heartsteel, and remember that, because it is kinda traumatic getting taunted by Shen for 1k physical or get hit by a 2k+ true damage Sett W. They also see it spammed in ARAM because it's admittedly fun, regardless of whether it's good or not. Aside from a few outliers with HP scaling skills though, it really isn't a tank meta because the tanks now melt, and don't do damage. EHP-cost wise, I don't think heartsteel even outperforms any of the old mythics until much later in the game. You'll need defensive boots, chain vest, negatron and probably a half dozen stacks or so before you start coming out ahead. | ||

Let me elaborate on it a little bit. Game fives are always legendary if the two teams show up. There's a narrative that unfolds next to the one that already exists (Telecom wars, Faker, blablabla). The pressure to perform at this time at this level is insane. How do you keep your adrenaline ridden body in check at this point in time, especially when potentially game ending teamfights are fought again and again. 50+ min I think the game was? Insane showing of skill both of these teams delivered. | ||
