well, dignitas got sponsored for their innovative play. then jatt left and they didnt have much for a long time. then they try something new and innovative and spend weeks testing it against a trusted opponent to make it out of the group stages of the season finals. then one guy leaks their stuff.
it might not have been a tournament winning thing, but it might have gotten them out of the group stages. and the leak for sure crushed them mentally, it was their chance to show everyone the old dignitas.

Honestly, I dont think Dig would've beaten CLG.eu anyways, but you can't say it didn't impact that game. CLG.eu opened with 4 wards around mid plus armor runes on Froggen, which is atypical of their play. Not only that, but Dig has 3 relatively LAN inexperienced members so seeing a strat you practiced for so long get counter-played from the get-go w/out even really being able to execute it at all is pretty demoralizing.
Personally, I think CLG.eu's good enough at stalling that even if Dig shut down Froggen Dig would've lost anyways. But you can't say that didn't affect them.
Dyrus just needs to stop being so thickheaded for lack of a better term. This isn't the first time he's gotten TSM bad press and with this, I think TSM is going to have trouble finding quality scrim partners.

so i think im gonna pick up zyra support. any advice on how to play her?

Other teams will probably be less willing to try out super secret cheeses with TSM but there is a serious lack of good scrim partners in NA right now for teams to boycott TSM.

TSM shouldn't be scrimming other NA teams right now anyways. Its counterproductive for them.

Can't believe people actually still watch Dyrus. He leaks a strat and people are just okay with it..... Well I guess I didn't expect much from reddit anyways.
In all honesty, Dyrus should be kicked off TSM. But no one is angry enough, teams are still desperate to scrim them, and hey, he gets a lot of stream viewers.
All in all, it didn't affect anything, but the fact that he's actually capable of doing speaks a ton for his character. I really don't even care what his apology is, there's no explanation for what he did aside that he's a shithead. If he was really remorseful he would've told Dignitas that he leaked their strat before they started fucking playing rofl. He's only apologizing now because he knows that Dignitas already knew and haven't done anything.
Furthermore, if Dignitas called Dyrus out on it during S2 finals, it's obvious that everyone would still side with TSM which is incredibly sad.

They are Progamer and therefore should act like Professionals. I hate it when they call their teammates retarded or dumb etc. Without these "dumb and retarded" players you wouldn't even have a chance to play your game for a living.

R>E>W>Q. One point in q at 4 is useful to bloom seeds, 3 gp10, lots of wards and stuff of course. Then, depending on if you got fed somehow, either build support items (aegis, shurelyas) or AP. Remember that due to W, you only profit from CDR from one item.
In lane, try to harass with e-ww (you can place the seeds while the e is flying, and w has practically no ICD) If you die, don't forget you have a passive. You are kind of squishy, but after you are 6, if you get an e/q-ww-r out, they still lose the fight if they jump you. Other then that, get used to your e. It's the main thing you use. You use it to harass, you use it to engage, you use it to disengage, you use it to save your buddy when you get ganked. If you go towards a brush at any point in the game, drop a seed in it.

Leaked strat's of.. roaming taric and mid lane bruisers. Seriously? People are upset over that? I don't get it. I could understand if it was an actual revolutionary style strategy but some old s1 strat that everyone knows about. Roam Taric isn't new..it's been on and off used for ages. You'll excuse me if I find this whole "drama" lacking in importance. I mean if you really think it would of made any kind of difference in the outcomes of the bracket for Dignitas, whatever makes you sleep better at night duders.
What a terribly uninteresting bit of drama..

It's quite condescending to Dignitas to simply lump their strategy as simply being 'roaming taric'. Frankly your entire post reeks of ignorance. For example, Dyrus told us TSM lost to their strategy 4 times in a row, and noted it for being very difficult to adapt to. It's painfully obvious that had this strategy not been leaked there would have been a significantly higher chance of Dignitas winning their first game, and then who knows how the group pans out?
As for you finding the drama to be lacking in importance, I would suggest that is you being out of touch with much of the community and competition in general. For a sporting example, Kevin Pietersen was kicked out of the England team for even allegedly contacting the opposite team and giving them advice. Here, Dyrus has freely admitted he leaked what Dignitas were planning to do to their opponents. Let's not even go into what happened to Azubu Frost and the comparisons that can be drawn here.
I can't believe I'm having to explain why this has importance to the community.

the fact clg eu did so many early wards and froggen ran armor runes it kind of messed them up, and how badly they got crushed could have put them on tilt for the rest of the tourny.
remember last time dig ran a secret strat with 3 supports? no one knew about that and it crushed.

To me, the amount of advantage gained isn't even that relevant. Leaking another team's secret is pretty despicable in my mind. It shows massive immaturity and I think Dyrus deserves every bit of flak he is getting.
I think he has recognized his mistake and is obviously not a "bad guy" but at the same time I think it is important for a community to uphold the unwritten ethics within their sport. For example, in soccer when someone gets hurt you kick the ball out of bounds. That isn't in the rulebook, but the soccer community vilifies anyone who breaks this rule. Doing so ensures a level of trust and sportsmanship for all soccer games, and the sport is better for it.
I hope that the community reaction to Dyrus' actions are strong enough that it becomes a giant no no to ever leak a strat that was entrusted to you. While it may seem intuitive to not do so, the reactions of many people here on TL is evidence that some people are fine with just letting it slide. It needs to be taken seriously if we want to avoid things like it happening in the future imo.

I am out of touch simply because it boils down to people looking to anyone else other then Dig's poor play for the fact they didn't play as good as the other guys. So you'll excuse me if I am not too keen on giving them a pass and putting the blame on Dyrus for telling wickd what does in fact amount to roam taric and a bruiser middle.
How disturbing of you to think that Dig would of won versus CLG.EU anyway? That's pretty disingenuous towards just how well CLG.eu has played and how well they did in the S2 finals. But I digress, no it's not as big of a deal as you think it is. If Dig is honestly blaming this as the reason they didn't win I wouldnt' expect much out of them in S3.

Instead of holding them to be rolemodels we should just laugh and enjoy the drama. It is kinda hypocritical to call someone like Regi and douche then turn around and flame your teammates in solo queue.
This also applies to people not wanting to root for a player for being douchey or something, if you feel like league players should provide you with moral guidance on top of performance and entertainment, you need to reevaluate your life. They do have a responsibility to their fans and certainly their sponsors to at least give an outward image of respectability. Once you're in the limelight, there is a certain expectation to be a role model (to some extent), and if you don't people are certainly well within their rights to call you out on it. Hell, look at tiger woods and all the shit he had to go through to regain sponsorship and his image for an offense that isn't even directly related to his sport or sportsmanship. They don't have to be perfect, but saying that people don't have the right to be upset when players act poorly is asinine.

The fact that Dignitas wouldn't have won either way doesn't alter the severity of what Dyrus did.
Whether or not they could have won shouldn't factor into the discussion.

Whether the strategy would have had a material impact on the Dignitas v CLG.eu game itself I think is not terribly important here. I think what is much more important is the conduct in question. The fact of the matter is that being a professional progamer is a job now rather than a hobby. And that means you need to conduct yourself in a certain manner. The lack of respect displayed is not befitting of a professional.
Besides, my understanding is that he's only apologising because Travis outed him on State of the League last night. He's had several weeks to come out before this and chose not to until Travis started naming names.

Are the flat pen and %pen changes in this patch?

Dig's not blaming anyone here (they kept quiet for three weeks even though they were pretty sure who leaked the strat). Dyrus is apologizing now since Travis outed him as the leak on SotL, but dig probably wanted the whole thing to just blow over quietly.

No, that's probably coming S3 with the new items.

You are completely missing the point again.
If you re-read what I wrote, you'll see I did not say Dignitas would have won vs CLG.eu had Dyrus not leaked the strategy. I personally think Dignitas are a pretty poor team, and not on CLG.eu's level. The point is, that Dyrus put Dignitas at an unfair disadvantage going into the first match of the biggest tournament in e-sports history. It doesn't even matter if CLG.eu would have won with or without Dyrus leaking, can you understand that?
Azubu Frost got fined for looking at the minimap, they'd have probably won anyway though. By your logic cheating isn't a big deal unless you personally think the outcome of the match would have changed.
