You talk all around the subject, but never talk about the core principles and methods of trolling.

Most of the trolls you describe are preforming low level harassment in forum threads, attempting to get under someone's skin with brute force insults and contrary opinions, mostly creating useless noise. You completely forgot to mention higher level trolling antics.

Here is a basic example of advanced trolling:

You create a whole new ironic and satirical version of reality that says the things one demographic would like to say but never has because they were afraid everyone would point and laugh at them. This site / blog / persona should look like a shining banner of logic and reason to them while being an obvious joke to everyone else. Then you sit and wait while a following accumulates, and you siphon in dirt on them in every form possible. Get them to say brutal and hypocritical things, then, at a critical moment, you strike, changing personas from their dear leader to that of an average netizen, and you point at your creation and say "Hey guys, look at this!" Diggers, /b/ and others will be driven to your creation like bees and sting anything and everything in sight. Then, at your creation's darkest hour your disciples will turn to you for help. At this point, you tell them you are really pissed off and have made a video blog about it, and you are going to "start saying what we should have been saying all along", then link to + Show Spoiler +

Another good example is the yes men.

While he might be serious noone can be that stupid to throw in extremely oddball views and not knowing that it will cause a debate. I guess he is saved by his english alot of times. Personally I'm a fan of "reverse trolling". Go into a thread where EVERYBODY is flaming, trolling, etc. Then make what seems to be a really sincere, naive post, like the kind that you'd expect the guy in the first picture to make. ALL the trolls will attack you by instinct.

I sincerely doubt that Fanatacist is the Master Troll here... I mean he didnt even provide any resume to prove that he really knows what he's talking about. I mean how are we supposed to just accept that he is the self proclaimed God of Trolls without any proof.

The whole thread is moot untill this is rectified.
