He's a grown up man for fuck sake, he has to make his own choices, and if its his choice to get so pissed that he can't stand on christmas, then he has to deal with it, not you. If you keep caring for him and helping him whenever he's passed out drunk he'll never ever consider stopping drinking. Because he knows that you'll always be there helping him. My dad had his christmas ruined x amounts of times cuz of my grandfather. He was always shit faced on christmas, which resulted in that my dad never even had one beer on christmas or any other family tradition (except new year that is) because he knows how alcohol fuck things up. Christmas is a holiday for kids, it's not meant to be ruined by alcoholic parents. Let him be, if he falls down a stair, good for him, that oughta teach him something... hopefully. And maybe it's time to consider forcing him into some kind of treatment, because this sounds like it's gone over the line by far.. I guess since it's december the 28th today it's already too late to make a decision whether to go to your aunt or not. But seriously, stop treating him with care when he's drunk, let him be on his own. And get him some help. | ||
