We have for years heard that people want there to be a wiki like Liquipedia for Game X, Y, and, let's not forget, Z. In order to help make these wishes a reality, we've recently started Liquipedia Alpha, a program to let us more easily gauge the interest within different gaming communities to help create an esports oriented wiki for their scene.
This was a great opportunity for us, as we had internally been talking about wanting to do something similar - where we can provide our know-how and back-end to a new community that wants to build a wiki, but might not have the experience to maintain a site or deal with some of the more perplexing parts of the MediaWiki code. We now have a functional Warcraft 3 Alpha Wiki!
So how does the process start?
Firstly, express your interest in contributing to a particular Alpha wiki by filling out this form (you can fill out this form multiple times if you're interested in helping with more than one game.)
Secondly, post in this thread - if you have questions, we’ll be happy to answer. Additionally, give us a sense of where your interests in the projects lie - creating/updating player and team pages? Adding information from past tournaments? Handle ongoing/future tournaments? Writing game guides? There is a ton to do, and every bit helps! If you feel especially passionate, come join us on our IRC channel
Thirdly, spread the word about this and your interest in it. Getting the word out there to lots of people or to people who have the time and interest in helping out is also beneficial regardless if you can commit any time to the project yourself or not.
Lastly, once we have enough people interested in working on a wiki, we will reach out to them and set up the wiki. This is when the real fun begins!

You should check it out, and feel free to help out with it if you see something missing, an error, or something that you think can be improved.
http://wiki.teamliquid.net/warcraft/Main_Page (it is also the first esports wiki we've done that's using our new skin which we're still working on and will be launching for all the other wikis too soon.
for give me I'm in a rush but if i were you guys and this has the ability to be sold or subscribed to, i would get the new governing body that was formed, sry can't remember name, to ensure or buy adoption to this for all pro games its so in line with their function imo

If you talk about WESA, that's actually not a good idea.
I also don't really get how that would be "in line with their function".
New skin looks awsome, you guys are great! Been wanting to contribute for some years now as I use the liquipedia almost daily... Will channel my inner force in 2017!

You can help out with any of the current ones too if you wish. There's always things to be done on the wikis.

We have a Smash Wiki, it supports sm4sh
It's exclusively a melee wiki e.g. zero's page. While it may support smash 4 everything else about it sets the wrong tone for a successful wiki.
well bring me people that want to edit sm4sh content, but so far i have none. The wiki is meant to do sm4sh eventually, the wiki is set up to do so, only we are missing contributors. sm4sh is not a question of starting an alpha wiki, sm4sh is a question of someone starting to edit.
I'm not really sure if this is the right place to post this (probably isn't), but if you haven't heard eSportspedia is currently undergoing a load of turmoil and a possible separation from Azubu. It would be amazing if Liquipedia/TL found a way to integrate all of the eSportspedia wikis (LoL, CoD, Halo, Smite) into its own network. TL even have teams in two of the games already.

Not sure if here is the right place to post it, but imo there's too much stuff clumping up the pages: http://i.imgur.com/XO3qm8V.png The content column seems way too big, taking up about 25% of the screen here. Also on pages which no content table (i.e. http://wiki.teamliquid.net/warcraft/Main_Page) it just is a huge grey box taking away space. However what bothers me the most is the bar on top, which stays there all the time. Even tho it only takes up about ~10% I find it much more bothersome than the content column, since on most pages there is space to the sides, which is not the case for the vertical unless you are on a really short one. Would love the option to at least pin the search bar to the top, since the links/ search bar are unneeded whilst reading through a page, there's no need to see them 247.

esportspedia is back as esportswikis, lets see how they do.
