![]() Although it is nearly (if not entirely) impossible to map the entire Internet, this is a fairly complete image of what we would describe as "the Internet." It is color coded based on who manages certain hubs. The giants such as AT&T and Google are yellow, while less popular providers are red/orange.

It's still not a Vietcong prisoner, it's a peasant farmer. I have been at the very location he was shot at and the museum where they have his whole family tree on display: The guy was shot without any trial on an open street, that's why it's iconic: He was the Gutamano bay version of the vietnam war. Actually he was a Viet Cong officer and it during the Tet offensive... The guy who shot him lost his entire family that day to the Viet Cong iirc.... ![]()

+ Show Spoiler + i've always felt that this picture really shows how broken up Bush (and America) was over the tragedy, even years later. you know, Bush gets a lot of flack, but anyone who knows him personally says that he's one of the most loving and caring people in the world.

You have to call someone and tell them a password." My media influenced mind totally changed when I got to know quite a few of them. It's probably just a photograph distortion. Photographs tend to really mess perspective up especially at close angles.

Most people would be loving and caring if they met someone who lost someone in the attacks and were in a position to show it (e.g. as a politician or famous sports star or someone like that). Most people aren't grossly irresponsible and start wars. ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() This was about 2 weeks ago. In melbourne a young women was walking home from the bar to her home. She was raped and killed by a total stranger (not a common event), and the outpouring of emotion over the incident led to this walk of support. When i saw this photo i was amazed/humbled that so many people would walk.

When i saw this photo i was amazed/humbled that so many people would walk. Are you sure? I mean... There's murders all the time... I think it's more that she's a young white female (of course I emphasise that it's a heartbreaking event, but when you think about it - things like Schapelle Corby happen all the time but never get significant coverage or public outrage because they're random men who are captured and jailed, for example). It's just human nature to feel more protective and white knightish about young white women being attacked. Again, like I say, it's a horrible event, but contrary to what you say, it is quite a common event.
