God I love this game but what the fuck =_= it seems so corny . . . I'll still watch it though just cuz I can't resist Tekken.
Information from IMDB
Plot Summary:
A Young Man Who seeks revenge of his mothers death. He finds his grand-father, Heihachi Mishima, and pleas to be trained. When the Mishima leader announces a "King of Iron Fist" tournament. He finds out that his mother's killer, OGRE, will be participating in the tournament. He must fight against the worlds top competitors to achieve his goal with no interference.
In the year of 2039, after World Wars destroy much of civilization as we know it, territories are no longer run by governments, but by corporations; the mightiest of which is the Mishima Zaibatsu. In order to placate the seething masses of this dystopia, Mishima sponsors the King of Iron Fist Tournament, or Tekken, in which fighters battle until one is left standing, who in turn will receive a lifetime of stardom and wealth. We are introduced to this violent world through the eyes of Jin Kazama, a rebellious teenage street fighter who enters the tournament in order to avenge the death of his mother that he blames upon the Mishima Zaibatsu's most powerful and controlling chairman – Heihachi Mishima. He knows that the only way to get close enough to Mishima to kill him is to win the tournament, but in doing so, he begins to uncover his own past and inner demons as well as exposing a dark underbelly to Tekken that threatens the very existence of humanity.[3]

Notes:: - The movie refers to T5:DR - Release Date: 5 August 2010 (USA)
This movie is probably going to suck like most game based movies (especially from the fighting genre). They're going to destroy my favourite fighting game T_T. I don't have any expectations to be honest, and I doubt I'll go to the cinema to see this. Tekken's story line is kind of screwed up anyway.
Movie looks like crap from the trailer and does no justice to the actual game ... but I'd still probably end up watching it when it comes out in theaters just for the sake of it being a Tekken movie.
- Release Date: 5 August 2010 (USA) and I have just seen this trailer. wow.
The reason there wasn't a Tekken Movie before was cuz of the buttload of characters. But seeing the trailer there are still butt load of chars. lol. I hope there is a Kuma, how sick would that be.

Same here. I can already feel how the movie is going to be such a piece and I'll fucking convulsing when the characters say stupid shit about "honor" or "I fight cuz of ..." But yeah fucking love the game.

LOL a man vs. bear scene where the bear hugs and does a shitload of damage.
My inner Tekken fan weeps. If it's as bad as the DOA movie it'll be hilariously awful, but still. I....actually enjoyed the first Mortal Kombat movie though. It was pretty lulzy.

I agree with this... hopefully it's like the first MK movie.
I don't give a rip about story (to an extent *cough* avatar TLA *cough*) but as long as the action is good and the characters fit their game themes, I'll call it a win.
Awww, this could be awesome, but it could just as easily suck. My favorite, of course, is Jin.
The only real reason I'm going to see this movie, other then the fact that I'm a Tekken fan, is to see if Jin turns into a demon like he did at the end of Tekken 3, was in Tekken Tag, and appeared in Tekken 4.
Regardles, would still like to see it.
Ps. Where is King? Wheres Hworang and that log guy?
