This isn't actually always true in my experience - there used to be a specific group of Sparkyz players during 2008/early 2009 who had no fans who would come to the fan meetings to greet them/give the presents. It consisted of type-b, Clay[fou], Hogil, Shine and Spear. Then Spear, Clay and type-b got fans and graduated from their little group (who used to sit together away from the rest of the players who were in small clusters with their respective fans.) Some players like Cuteboy from Khan also didn't participate in fan meetings because no one came to see them.
Even bigger names such as Lomo, Backho, Stork etc don't have a big amount of fans present at the fan meetings. It's only really Boxer, Savior, Nada, Jaedong and Flash who are always surrounded by a big crowd at the meets. This doesn't count their online fans or people who don't attend the events though.
