So good! As luck would have it a few of my old WC3 buddies are coming over for a lan party at exactly that time on Saturday. Going to put it up on the big screen.

WCA banned all VPNs 2 hours before the first game started... okaaaay B2W can join the games and be observer by themself from now
I will use this spoiler to update about games:
+ Show Spoiler +Moon vs XiXi game 1 on EI: Moon expanded, XiXi not, Xixi went for a T2 push with DH, Naga, mercs and driads for moons expansion, moon got behind and then lost the expansion later, while his bear count was still low. Later xixi had a lead in bears, driads and moon played DH solo. Moon was able to kill XiXis DH and got a DH lvl 6. A push against XiXi by moon with Superman-DH didnt work out, as Moon was still 17 supplys back. When the DH of XiXi came back of the altar, moon had a super hard time and lost the game during another attack by moon against XiXis only Goldmine, Moon ggs out after he lost almost everything next to XiXis gold mine.
Moon vs XiXi game 2 on TR Close positions, early game constant aggro, XiXi again with Naga and DH, Moon only DH at the moment. XiXi controlls the map, has more units, but cant use it. Both going for bears, both creep lvl 7 turtle goldmines. Both creeping more, XiXi found a book of XP. Moon going for the moonwells of XiXi, XiXi TPs, big fight going on. Looking good for moon, as he has a AOW in XiXis base. Moon Expands behind this, XiXi not. Next fight in XiXis base, Moon gets lvl 6 on DH but, XiXi wins against superman-DH. Moon lost alot of bairs, he has to heal up. Moon sold his Brilance Aura he found at a red spot and that gives him mana problems. XiXi creeps another red spot, Stream dead. Couldnt see the items. Moon baught a freaking Alchemist!!!!!!!!!!!! Endurance aura was dropped for XiXis naga, Moons Expo pumps out gold, big fight starts with acid bomb opening. XiXis bears are all dying, Superman-DH again, this time killing alot, 39 supply from XiXi against 70 from Moon + expo on moon. Only 1900 gold left in XiXis goldmine. Divine Aura now on moons alchemist. Moon keeps creeping his alchemist, giving him items. Wired TP without pressure from moon. 2-2 upgrades on moon, he goes in with moons for the last fight, looking bad for XiXi, superman-DH and acid bomb give him large edge, even moonwells from XiXi dont help, XiXi ggs out, Moon makes it 1:1
Moon vs XiXi game 3 on LR (last refuge) Game started, both go for AOW creeping the shop. XiXi builds hidden huntres hall. XiXi annoys with his DH, killing a wisp and a archer of moon, moon creeps and loses another archer to XiXi, first huntress on the map for XiXi, creep ensnare helps XiXi to kill another archer of Moon. XiXi creeps small spot with 3 huntress now, moon got T2 and baught a Naga and builds double ancient of winds and will play talons. XiXi got 4 huntress and a Naga on his own, both creep, Moon the merch camp, gets sobi maks, XiXi gets mana stone at the goblin lab. XiXi scouts with invis DH the talons. Moon creeps his goblin lab, gets healing wards, XiXi steals the oger mage, but cant get the item. XiXi goes for mountan giants against the talons with driads. Moon buys a tinker, XiXi loses everything but his only giant. Moon builds 3 AOW in XiXis base, XiXi looks broken. The ents are walking, AOWs start crawling up on XiXi base, where XiXi camps arround his tree of eternaty, while Moon puts pressure on him with everything. Moon sends his naga shoping, XiXi loses a well and his altar, he only has 1 bear, 2 giants and his DH and Naga. XiXi has lost a giant and a bear, more AOWs buld by Moon. Ancient Protector for XiXi carrys, XiXi gets cycloned on DH, then Moon sorounds DH and kills him, moon kills more moonwell, 3 AOWs build by moon again, killing more buldings like the shop of XiXi, XiXis ggs out, Moon takes it 2:1 over XiXi

Oh wow, NELF vs NELF that is actually enjoyable to watch!
|
Wow, Moon looks stronk, even when he left the army just 7 days ago, XiXi is the best Nelf in china.
Fly against 120 might be next game. But they have problems, Neo and Remos PCs are not in the LAN network and the ladder is lagging at the moment, so the players cant play online at the moment.
|
Sonik: 1:2 Reprisal Infi 0:2: Yumiko
|
Where are you guys watching?
That Azubu link doesn't work for me.
|
|
Got it.
I can't get Azubu to work on VLC with Livestreamer for some reason.
So I guess I'll settle for the restream if it's good.
It seems like they're having issues though...
|
Its still a chinese tournament....
With the azubu guy helping them, they have at least more then last year.
But the problem: They cant join the LAN games as they arent in the same networks then all players. They cant join online games thanks to whatever reason.
|
Has the stream gone offline?
|
I just post some scores from replays.net
+ Show Spoiler + Moon 2:1 XiXi ReprisaL 2:1 Sonik Infi 0:2 Yumiko Fly100% 2:0 tara Hawk 2:1 ZRD

In one Minute Warchief Rich (foreign hope with Hawk) will play against Lawliet!
Live on http://www.azubu.tv/WCAwc3en casted and observed by Neo and Remo from Back2Warcraft
|
Haha, I love the B2W guys. Such a raw cast. So many "holy shit!!!" and just now "that's my creep bitch, get the fuck out".
Glorious.
|
Warchief just 2:0ed Moon and thus made it out of the group.

Is this cast newbie friendly? I have zero idea about wc3

Hmm I would say, no. If you are a total noob, mostly used to starcraft, you will be confused by some things. They will talk about meta, and what units could come and why, but some things, "general knowledge", wount be told to you. Things like armor and damage types, what basic items do and other minor stuff. They cant describe every spell and item, there is just much more then for example in Starcraft. But still I recommend watching, Neo is more a hype caster and you will figure out whats important from Neo speaking faster and louder and swearing more. As Warcraft is a much slower game then for example Starcraft, you have much more time to think about the game. The eco is slower, fights can go for many minutes, units can be microed endless, still the games themself are normally over in under 20 minutes, as normally the action does not stop once it gets rolling in the early game.
I would still say you should watch 1 or 2 games and then decide if it is worth. Okay, tomorrow the cast will start at 3.30CET, so maybe just watch one of latest matches and decide for saturday.

Ok thanks for the answer! I simply never really watched rts (or esports tbh) before sc2. I played wc3 on some lans (mostly fun maps, you know the deal hehe) so that is pretty much my whole wc3 experience right there. I guess i will just give it a go then
