Well, that wasn't a very good race for me. I survived until the end (at least) and made #21 overall and #5 Mara. I killed too many Exiles, I believe.
And still my weapon luck was beyond awful. Act 1 I never found a weapon with more than 10ish IPD. In Act2 i found one with ~30 IPD and in the end of Act2 one with 50 IPD, but I totally needed a new one for Docks. I found a lvl 33 Staff with ~60 IPD but never got to use it.
I didn't count how many rare 1h weapons the Exiles dropped, it were too many.... And of course no unique at all.
As for Voidbearers, I skilled the fire res nodes in the mara tree, lol. Wanted to go to Docks really early and be safe. LMP Voidbearers probably would've been dangerous anyway, but i didn't meet any.

Wow. 3rd Witch at level 23, 87th overall. I started like five minutes late and dicked around a lot, not bothering with progressing past Act 2, but apparently no one wants to play Witch when they can (almost) count on amazing weapons to scale them through. Also Witches suck at killing exiles until...well they always kinda do. Except all the ranged ones which conveniently stand still.
Playing PoE without turbo or onslaught mod feels so wrong, though, it's like I'm Neo in the Matrix.

What the hell.. Got one shot by a single blue discharger with 300hp and 20% lightning resist. There was nothing else in the room, so apparently they can really crit for ~300 without any charge. Such a dumb mechanic.
Not sure what's wrong with these Descents. Got 5 in a row above 1M, then I get random deaths all the time, even when playing really slow and safe.

Hey! I just got back from interviews and apartment searching so I've been out of the loop for a few days, any word on when season 4 races will start? I'll be racing less as I got a job offer so I won't be able to do the mid day races, but I still want to improve and run the races I can.

lol I died to an alt-tab in the 2h race. our templar marauder and duelist all made top 15 overall though. I would have probably won ranger, but I was stupid enough to alt-tab to give someone permissions for teamspeak and got killed by an exile in less than 5 seconds. /facepalm

Dead at rank5 with 3 mins left, got greedy in Merciless 
edit: Think I did pretty decent considering I met a rare big curtain in first room in curtain area that refused to leave his room. And I just changed my pots so I had 0 sips and wasted about 1 min trying to lure him out. Killed him with like 10% hp left :^)

Man, I died 20 mins in, rerolled and almost made lvl 17. I was just in the zone for the right amount of xp, I got 4 levels in the last 8 mins and was still in the skelly zone. That could have been a personal best with 60 mins.

Made 21, but wasted the last maybe 90 seconds pussying around in hall of heroes instead of manning up and going to merciless. Had to log out a few times, including a hilarious double yellow discharger combo with haste and crit auras.

Found a rare crude bow on Bramblemist, then an iron ring, for an insane start. But I was still using it in Statues, with no flasks, armor or life, and the level was insane. Had to logout and clear rooms full of hard/champions to proceed, followed by an insane Abyss where I also had to logout, so I ended up behind a normal run despite my best start ever...
Just to piss me off, it then decided to give me insane gear and decent packs. Had I not lost basically 10 mins on these two zones, I would have won the whole thing.
Made it to merciless with 450hp, 160dps, -10% lightning resist + topaz flask. Sigh....
15th, Lvl 21...

So there will be only one more Descent race this season and it will be the last signature one. Sad I prefer Descent a lot of the normal races. I know there will be more next season and hope they'll add something similar fun instead of it.
No idea if I'll play the last Descent, will be at 2 a.m. CEST :-(
Edit: The last one was a mess for me, first I died to Voidbearers (lol) and then I died to Goats while getting distracted IRL. :/

Jesus. Died at 1:15 minutes into the Turbo Rogue Famine after dying to Igna Phoenix-induced lag in Mud Flats. Was 3rd Witch at the time, a full 10 (!) levels behind first place. Was forced to log against every exile I didn't overlevel (due to earlier logging). It tickles the masochist in me.
I guess you either get life on Corals that drop from exiles or you go for the life nodes and don't do any damage to Brutus or, well, anything.

So.. I started 90 minutes late, and after playing for an hour I was somehow top 60? I got frozen and died to Igna Pheonix in the merviel cave. Level 14 or 15 I think, forgot.

Good dps gear is the hardest to get for a witch and you have like 0 defensive skills available in like 20 points, you don't really think about it until you start racing

Lmfao this race. Was first at 20 and 25th minute then fell behind 3-4 ranks and stayed there whole race. I have absolutely no idea how Goratha killed Vaal with these mods so fast. I believe he was 23. I barely survived vs him on 25, some nasty desynchs and he slammed me for 90% of my hp. Only reason I dared going to him was that an exile in wfall cave 2 dropped a 107% IPD sword for me.
Farmed sarns until 29, then I went over almost entire second zone without finding the entrance to marketplace. Since Goratha at this point had a 4+ level lead I just said fuck it and grinded out sarns rest of the race. Could probably gotten third if I actually managed to find docks, my fire res sucked, but I had 700 dps cleave and 1.1k dual strike without any links. But was not really any need of risking it since third duelist was waaay behind me, and sarns at this point was 100% safe, even with insane pulls + the righteous fire gmp exile when I had 15 fire res couldn't get me below 50% hp.
Still dodged Perpertus at 33 though

Decided to do the 3h since needed 7 more points and watching the international anyway.
Ended up 23th 3rd rauder at lvl 25 in the 3h TF exile just messing around in act 2, bunch of the competition died, and the two ahead of me killed vaal.
Killed all exiles but ignas, first bugger in mud flats took a bit too long I suppose, but first exile race I've done might as well try killing them..
used a nice jade chopper from 12 or 13 to level 22... was one shooting packs in western with leap slam so good enough.
Decided to progress to dread thicket a bit too late.
