the important thing is that everybody has the right checksumm number. That is a 4 letters combination which you can see in the bottom left of your screen next to the version number.

for the 5.0 version it should be

for the 5.1 version I had

it looks like the 5.1 patch messes up this combination all the time and changes it randomly so I'd propose that we use the 5.0 patch to play multiplayer.
If your checksumm combination is not the above combination only reinstalling the game might change it back to the right one.


So for a nice multiplayer session I'd propose saturday evening CEST for a game. This way the americans can play with the europeans and everybody has decent times.

would be perfect if we can gather around 6 and more players so we can take the bigger european countries and have some fun

Here's how I started on my first try. I saw that I had a causis belli on a vassal state of france that started with an A (sorry I can't remember the name). I saw that france was quashing rebellions so I figured it would be a good time to take it. I raised an army of around 11,000 and invaded. Things were going well until France came out of nowhere with an army of like 19,000 and stomped me. Basically I don't know what to do because I'm left with a rag tag army, and a war I'm going to lose and that's not a good way to start, so I'm wondering if you guys have any tips/pointers. Thanks
