I don't think many people tend to travel for New Years. MD9 being lengthened is meant to help people who are in other states/countries/many miles away from home, but to my understanding most people tend to go home for New Years.

I guess I never really considered it, but if anyone has any specific concerns about a holiday, I'm open to ideas. I'd rather not delay things too long, though. There's only a few MDs left before playoffs.

Have heard nothing regarding these games since the day switch. If they are not played in the next 3 hours, they will be regards as draws. Please not that any last-minute disputes will be handled by potatoedoughnut, because I'll be unavailable these next few hours and he's handling the match day change. If you are presenting evidence to get a WO, it'll need to be sent to him and you'll need to catch him (preferably in IRC) to let him know.

Match day 8 completed.

No word from stormtrout, krag, jaycee, wannab, tuln, or cloudica. They all got draws. Mexicanhat got a WO vs tipp/venganza.

Match day 9 is now live! This day will last a full week, lets get 100% match completion this time!

Thanks to potato for covering for me :O Going to sleep now but I will send mass PMs after I wake.

As previously stated, with Christmas coming up, the admin team has decided to extend MD9 to twice the length of a normal MD. Therefore, MD9 games will be due between now and the end of Christmas Night on Saturday (EST/GMT-5 at midnight, as per usual.)

While this time is extended in the hopes to limit the amount of forfeits and crap, I hope that some of you take advantage of it to play those games. Had a rough couple of weeks- I dream to have at least 1 week of 100% completion before playoffs :O

Edit: Updated the standings on the OP. Something about the statistics looked off to me- either Kanil's withdrawal or how me/jaycee traded back and forth, maybe we graded forfeits/scores differently, I don't know. So, I manually plugged in each and every game in hopes of cleaning whatever it was up, and then double checked the points on the in-game leaderboard. Should be good now.

Edit#2: It appears I made a bad mistake for MD8 rulings. I forgot that Krag mailed me and said he would be unavailable and to give his opponent, Stormtrout, a WO. For whatever reason, this completely spaced on me, and I'm not going to try to justify it. Sorry Stormtrout for giving you a draw

I wish it was reversible in some way, but unfortunately there's nothing I can do, now.

I think we're going to extend the deadline another week. I know that, during this 2-week period, we normally crunch in 4 games instead of 1, but given the holiday season I think its pretty unreasonable to force all this out so fast.

However, being as that New Years is on the weekend, I encourage people to not wait until last second to play because there will not be another extension. MD10 will begin on January 2nd. I'm not setting any kind of precedent that I will extend for long periods of time to avoid WOs, even if there's a lot of them. Rather, I just don't want to force people to lose games during a period of time when lots of people are traveling or otherwise unavailable.

So, enjoy your break without thinking about WOs. Merry Christmas, etc etc!

As a reminder, if you guys have any scheduling issues, I need to know before the deadline. I know a few people came to me last week and said their matches were having trouble being scheduled before Christmas, but I'm not gonna W/O someone if you neglected to message them for a whole week after Christmas. So, let me know if anyone is still unresponsive, but keep trying.

Nobody (except Alak/Mexicanhat) has talked to me in regards to any failure to communicate or a failure to schedule games. I'm hoping this means that you all have games planned for some time in the next 34 hours, otherwise you're all getting draws~.

Day10 is live- 4 hours late, sorry. Hope nobody was waiting for it.

Lots of draws, one WO (Twotone > Tuln / edit: oh, and Mexicanhat > Alak, mentioned below), kinda crappy for 2 weeks worth of time but the holidays were unpredictable, I guess, with all the travel and unavailability and whatnot. Hopefully MD10 gets us back on track- we're back on normal schedule, so now we have half a week instead of 2 weeks per game. We'll see how it goes.

Alak has withdrew from the league due to personal affairs. I know what's happening but I'm not going to breach his privacy. Suffice to say, its an extremely reasonable and understandable reason and I wish him the best. Regarding Alak's future games, he still has a team in the league. When Kanil withdrew, games were turned in to byes, wherein his opponents received no spp/money. I didn't create a dummy team because I had thought of it too late and didn't want to screw anyone over who I had missed, but in Alaks case I'm going to leave his team in. My reasoning is that, anyone who has played against Delki/Alak (the teamslot as opposed to a team in particular) has received spp/winnings. By keeping his team in, it guarantees that everyone got equal treatment on their "match" against "Alak/Delki". If someone PMs me and wants to take the slot, I'll replace him, but otherwise I'll keep him idle.

Kanil did finally find a replacement, a man named Ziktomini. Him and Lorgar received a draw for md9, but hopefully he'll be an active and suitable replacement for md10+. He is very new- don't cut him some slack, but maybe give him some pointers.

No worries, Kanil. Frankly, giving people 16SPP and x2 winnings is something I actually don't like doing, its just a struggle to find options that makes everyone happy. You didn't really screw things over- I'd rather people not get free stuff, myself.

9 unplayed games, including my own opponent. I've gotten so many PMs from people who cant contact their opponents, and I am not prepared to give 4 WOs and 5 draws. I was hoping to not set any kind of precedent for extending deadlines during the holidays, but I simply refuse to make rulings for that many games.

Suffice to say I'm pretty dissapointed, but I'm extending for another MDs-worth of games (AKA, until Sunday 00:01 EST). Hopefully we can reduce this number to AT LEAST 5.

MD11 is live. Made rulings on 8 games, but I'm tired of complaining. Just let it be known that if you have proven to be unreliable or inactive you won't be allowed to play next season. I'm hoping to run a small invite-only league of some sort, with only the most active of us playing. More details to come when playoffs start (and decisions that will be voted upon during playoffs.)

Being as that people have decided to become inactive, I'm going to stop updating the standings. Takes a long time to do when, in reality, all you need to do is launch the game to see them for yourself.

Jaycee has semi-withdrawn because he's moving in to a new house, shopping for a new house or something of this variety. Kielbasa will be gone, too, for one reason or the other. If you are playing against these players, you need to send me some kind of verification that you are alive, because I'm not going to give WOs to inactive people.

We're on MD12 now. Again many unplayed games last week, and I think everyone is looking forward to the end of Season 1.

I think Nok is going to start a new thread asking for ideas for S2 once MD13 finishes, but IRC is the best place to get the latest goings on.

Playoffs have started. Megelrov, TwoTone, Catyoul and StorkHwaiting qualified from Division 1. potatoedoughnut, Lorgoth, TargetPractice/Numinous and Mexicanhat qualified from Division 2.

TargetPractice/Numinous has been MIA for a number of matchdays and it was a collective commissioner decision to replace him in the playoffs to avoid any byes (finally, something that the Blood Bowl client allowed us to customize.) Looking down the list to see who was next in line, we came across inactive after inactive after inactive person.

It was originally Stormtrout, but after contacting him, he respectfully decided he didn't want to play in the play-offs. Thus, somehow, some way, I managed to be the next in line, with a whopping 4 wins (2 of which were WOs). To any bystanders, please note that the prospect of me qualifying as the head admin seemed like it may come across overly selfish, but after a long talk with Catyoul regarding who would be next-in-line, I was somehow the only reasonable choice. Rest assured, I don't deserve it, but someone like me is the only reason Megelrov doesn't get a bye in the first round of playoffs.

Lately we've stopped streaming and recording games every day, for one reason or the other, but I hope each and every playoff game is streamed and announced in this thread. I know mine will be.
