Apparently if you get matched up against an empty team slot (in the case of people who withdraw from the league) then you gain 0 SPP and injuries that cause MNG are still missing until you actually play a game. Even if I give you a 2-0 win, nothing happens, and in fact it wont even count as a win (nor draw or loss) on your ranking.

So, if you're up against Kanil, theres nothing I can do until I get a replacement.

You'll just have to live with it :O

Tippereth and I got through the first half of our (bloody) game and then I disconnected. We rescheduled for tomorrow at 10 (UTC-6, 11 "server"), so we should finish right before the match day rollover.

I figured this would be clear by now- if nobody tells me anything or requests a WO with sufficient evidence/reason, (via TeamLiquid PM preferably, so that I have it on record) I will record any game as a draw by the end of match day.

StorkHwaiting vs kingjames01 - edit: Nevermind, they played.

potatoedoughnut vs Tippereth - edit: Nevermind, they played.

iamonaboat vs Alak - edit: Turns out they had it all planned out but underestimated the deadline. Oops Oh well, as long as they're active, I'm happy. Shame it had to be a ruled draw, though.

ShloobeR vs Stormtrout - Neither one of them has spoken up so this one's not on me. I'm tempted to rule this a 0-0 except for the fact that I promised 1-1 draws in cases of day changes.

Krag vs Jaycee - Krag missed a scheduled match by a few hours when the match was scheduled for 0:01, the minute MD7 started. By the time he showed, Jaycee was going to sleep. While I am unhappy that Krag didn't meet at the agreed upon time, essentially wasting Jaycee's time and throwing a wrench in the planned schedule, there was 80 hours left- plenty of time for at least attempting a reschedule.

You can cite timezone incompatibilities as a means of being unable to schedule a match on the weekdays, and therefore place blame on someone for missing a match on the weekend. You cannot, however, receive a win for being active during a 2-hour window for the entire week. For all I know, because absolutely nobody has talked to me about this match, Krag has been awake 80 hours straight looking for an open slot in Jaycee's limited weekday schedule. Jaycee will probably be upset, but I cannot justify a WO with no information other than "Krag wasn't here the minute the day changed."

For the record, if Krag and Jaycee continued communications and it was deemed physically impossible to play on the weekday, Jaycee would have been given the victory because of Krag's no-show. However, there is no evidence given to me that suggests it was impossible. The fact is that nobody has spoken to me and I haven't heard either player say a word since Jaycee went to bed that night. This is a draw.

Everyone else - Good MD, guys. Keep it up.

Krag was 7 minutes later than he said he would be. He stated he'd be on between 00:00 and 00:30 his time (CST), he got on at 00:37 and Jaycee deemed that it was now too late and he had to be somewhere else. Don't see how you could call that a no-show on Krag's part.

Jaycee claimed that Krag was supposed to be there at the start of the day-switch (00:00 -5) and you are saying that Krag said he wouldn't be there until 60-90 minutes after. (00:00-00:30 -6)

Regardless, my point wasn't to argue 7 minutes versus the 120 minutes I claimed but to say that I cannot make a ruling if nobody is talking to me. If nobody sends me evidence, I have nothing in front of me to verify that when someone allegedly misses a game, it wasn't a time zone misunderstanding, misuse of words, or to establish blame in general. If I can't blame anyone, I can't issue a forfeit, and if I can't issue a forfeit, I can't give a WO.

I appreciate your insight Tuln but I'd appreciate it more if Krag and Jaycee would defend themselves with the evidence I have requested match day after match day, time and time again, every single time anyone has ever had an issue, here in this very thread.

At this point, either one of them might have a case against the other, but neither have shown it.

Nothing I can do. It's a draw.

Edit: Stork vs kingjames is happening right now- a little late but it's fine. potatoedoughnut will change to MD8 as soon as they finish. I'm running out the door but I'll update the standings and send mass PMs and whatnot when I get home.

Thanks potatoedoughnut for covering for me in changing the matchday. He's fairly active in IRC so I made him a commissioner for the purpose of validating games, in case other ones aren't around. I'm also promoting robicecold since he seems to be active during the mornings when I may or may not be sleeping, on the off chance people need games validated then. Thanks for the help, guys :O

Sending mass PM reminders in a moment. A few hours late- sorry guys. Had to pick up something.

For the record, we agreed to play at midnight when the matchday reset. If krag interpretted this as his midnight, that's up to him (and Nok to adjuducate)

Given the match was scheduled, I booked the rest of my afternoon to go to the movies, leaving 3h after midnight, (2h after Krag's midnight). Why should I cancel my plans, based around leaving sufficient time for a scheduled match to play out, because my opponent was late?

We'd already discussed in advance our schedules, and there was no opportunity to play the rest of the week. It's very easy when you work fixed hours to know if a game is possible or not. To me there was nothing left to discuss. nothing but wait on whether the missed scheduled game would be a win or draw. If Krag was waiting the remaining 80 hours to play me, he didn't send one PM.

Nok, you were there at the time, and from your discussion above, you know all the facts. I don't mind how you want to adjudicate the result. Needless to say that following discussions from a week ago, I thought having a fixed time scheduled to play was enough.

I had a rough game vs Abracadavers.

Lost my 25 SPP blitzer weight with MB and piling on (-1 str injury).
Also, my second highest SPP guy, 20 SPP ghoul suffered -1 MV.

Won the game at least but this will have some adverse consequences for me.

Me 2-1 Alak, forgot to post the livestream link but it'll be in the VODs as per usual. I would have preferred rolling doubles to get sure hands, but instead I have an agi3/break tackle ogre so hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on the ball occasionally in future games. Maybe when he hits lvl4 he'll get sure hands :O

Nothing should be open to interpretation, it should be written in stone as cold hard facts, with timezones specified and agreed to on by both parties. I can't interpret that someone should get a free win, I need undeniable evidence. This is the way that the court system [supposedly] works. To prove someone guilty, there should be no reasonable doubt in that sentencing.

I was there that night, and I saw you leave just when Krag showed up. If there was a timezone miscalculation, I can't place blame unless I know who's fault it was.

In regards to our conversations a week ago, I have told you to send me copies of PMs and have told you that just because a match doesn't get played that you should stop trying to reschedule. If it was Krags fault, then I would favor you if you were unable to reschedule after his mistake- however, you have to at least try. Its not acceptable to sit there for 80 hours expecting the win. Maybe you two eliminated weekdays by comparing schedules beforehand, but as I said, nobody PM'd me that.

Having a fixed time scheduled is enough for a draw, not for a win. To get a win, you must have exhausted all scheduling options and have your opponent either be unreasonable, unresponsive or no-show, and provide the evidence to prove this true. Deadline hits and I have no evidence? Its a draw.

Feel like I'm kinda just talking in circles these last few posts, but I'm hoping to somehow clarify it to the best of my ability so that there's no issues in the future.

11 hours left for MD8.

Because of the holiday season, MD9 will take place for a whole week, from Sunday-Saturday. We didn't really do this for Thanksgiving because it was a little more isolated in regards to who celebrated, but Christmas is typically a more widespread thing so we don't really want to screw anyone over.

Seasons Beatings and all that!
