Idk sometimes I catch lvl30-40 pokemon in 1-2 tries when I do that button combo without hurting them first.

I always stocked up 99 Pokeballs and did nothing but throw them at the Pokemon I wanted to catch. Worked like a charm. Even on lvl50+.

i just stun them and put them to sleep
and then mass throw pokeballs.

Butterfree is the best at it, with stun and sleep spore.

Well I couldn't tell if it worked but I'm always hopeful that it does. Also I am not sure about this one but I did it on all three birds and it almost seems if you use a pokeball then an ultraball the ultraball works better. Again Idk but its something to hope for while just mass throwing to catch them.

I didn't just read this and go "awesome!" I tested this stuff a bit.
