Inter deserved to win. Bayern could have come back if Inter wouldn't have scored the 2:0.

Dammnnn it, Bayern's offense was on par with Inter only the defense is too bad. Van Buyten is too slow for CL that was obvious since Fiorentina.

The first goal was a long ball counter attack from Milito and Sneijder vs Lahm Van Buyten Demichelis and Badstuber. How can you not mark the 2nd attacker in such a situation ? Wheres the ball going to be ??? Van Buyten didn't mark Sneijder ... clearly his fault but also from his teammaates.

The second goal, well again 2 vs 4 ... nothing to say Van Buyten just pathetic ... slow and immobile like an old man.

I hope Rumenigge and Hoeness will learn from this and buy some quality defenders. Bayern can not always rely on Robben/their offense ...

bayern just played bad and inter defended really good, their offensive with 3-4 guys created more danger than bayern did. cant win games if u just pass from side to side in slowmotion, thats not how u create chances <:

Bayern did have as many chances as Inter had. The difference is that after the 1:0 Inter just turtled and counter attacked. That is why it was so difficult to create chances against them, (like Barca-Inter ) ... The reason was just the bad defense of Bayern compared to Inters.

Eto'o has definitely evolved these past years. He might've been egoistic in the past but I'm constantly amazed at how hard working and self sacrificial he is nowadays.

Seeing and experiencing how annoying Balotelli is prolly helped him gain some insights about himself

I agree, I like badstuber a lot.

But he's just not suited as a left back, especially with Bayern's offensive system. Let him play as a centre back, Lahm as a left back, get a good right back (Srna?) and then watch greatness unfold.

But with this back four Bayern will never win a CL final.

van buyten should never have had to guard milito one on one in the first place since thats not his strength. Van Bommel or someone should've been back there helping out.

Well Badstuber played bad cuz he couldn't bring some good flanks into the penalty zone or didn't make any runs. Inter was playing with 1 attacker and mostly through the middle. He was practically untested the whole time and should have used his liberty to provide some good combinations with Altintop. Therefore his spot was just useless, Van Gaal could have brought Contento instead.

Lahm was actually good, he did put up a fight although a little late imo.

Imho Robben played very well he was constantly the threat to Inters defense even when he was marked by Chivu and Cambiasso. The future is bright for Bayern if they can keep Robbery and add some quality defenders. If Gomez doesn't perform Bayern should switch him with someone who suits in Van Gaals system. He's like the Ibrahimovic of Munich...

From Inter, Milito was the best player on the field followed by Cesar and Sneijder. Cesar made some good saves this game.
