Actually just look at how many times Effort has completely outsmarted Flash, completely outsmarting the supposed strategic genius is a crazy feat. The same thing happened when Savior was in his peak. Oov was the "cheater terran" a strategic mastermind, and Nada "the genius terran", and Savior just picked them apart at their own game. Many of Saviors strategies have been copied by other Zergs, including Jaedong. Saviors amazing feat stems from being a god in a period of the Zerg dark ages. Jaedong came after this, where several Zergs were doing well anyway. Not to take any thing away from Jaedong though, but Jaedong is the complete opposite player, a mechanical aggressive beast. I don't know much about Tennis but maybe you could compare Savior to Federer, and Jaedong to Nadal? Savior won with finesse, where as Jaedong won with technique. | ||

Being a rather biased protoss fan, if you asked me who was the best sc player ever, I wish I could say Nalra or Reach or Stork or Bisu, but I would be lying. Savior in his prime was absolutely terrifying. I never understood exactly what was happening but I knew that when I saw him play, something amazing was going on. What was mind boggling was his low 250 apm yet still he was 3 seconds ahead of everyone at every curve and every fight and every timing. Nearly every game he would send his overlord the right direction and it was just unreal watching him play all the top players. That was the time when if Savior played it wasn't a matter of IF Savior would win but HOW Savior would win. So very sad that he did what he did, but like the article said, let's keep that topic separate from his skill in the game. Very big thanks for this write-up. I am really looking forward to part 2. | ||
