Desktop Bnet Chat Client:
Extern SC BW Chat
This little program lets you minimize StarCraft but at the same you can still keep chatting with who ever you left in there and browse the public chat in your favorite channel.
I have not tried it but I found it interesting. Of course download at your own risk. The maker likes to lurk around SC coding forums (some good forums, some evil forums). He goes by the aka KloMeister]GT[ (naturally, the guy with the "1337" ladder score in the first screenshot).
The underworld knows him for a hack that allows people to spam or lag their opponents. Since this program on the other hand is productive and practical, with very benign applications, I took the liberty to make a mention of it.
Maybe if he sees a how much farther he can go working for good, instead of the nasty stuff, and how much more people appreciate positive contributions instead of negative ones, then maybe just maybe, we can pull one more hack maker to the good side.

What does this Program do (roughly translated):
This program reads the chat from sc or sc:bw and shows it in the program window. It can also send messages with the accound currently logged in. Advantages: you can chat in SC while being on your desktop. It also has a Bot feature which provide a welcome message to everyone entering the channel. It also has many other features.
Program itself seems to be english. Btw "klomeister" means as much as toiletmaster (:

akamufu i think Starcraft extension only allows friend list chat, this is for channel chatting while alt tabbed.

Nice little program, but not comparable to something like StealthBot.

But you don't need SC extension for that. I thought they were referring to something that is implemented in SC extension?

there was another client named "topaz chat" or something like this.
It allowed you to log into battlenet without having to run SC.
I don't know if it still works after Blizz introduced the CD check for bnet.

hmm looks like stealthbot is better, but may have one (major) disadvantage - you'd need 2 cdkeys to use stealthbot while logged into bnet thru the game.

I think they mean Miranda IM (A chat client that allows you to run multiple protocols at once http://www.miranda-im.org/ )
When using Miranda IM and Penguin Plug, you can talk on various protocols (AIM, MSN, etc...) while keeping the StarCraft window open.
I use it, it's really handy when observing a game.
Things to note:
You can recieve messages in channels, but can't send.
You can't recieve or send when in pre-game chat.

No, that was for an irc client. This program is supposed to make it so you can see battle.net channels in an irc like environment (ie on your desktop, so you can do other things while waiting for someone to respond or whatever).

hm seems like a nice little program 
but blizzard will probally pick up on it and start banning acc's, like they do with chaos launcher. *Sighs* whiles real hackers get away with it silly blizzard =P

Blizzard doesn't ban people with Chaos Launcher... Not that I'm aware of, anyway.

So basically the op's program only works if your b.net is connected. Can't be used as a bot itself (even if you can link a key and stuff)? And the other program on the bottom is not that great because of the alleged problems listed in the post.
