Hyvaa is a regular fixture of the STX_SouL Proleague Lineup. He'll be playing in the Playoffs in his teams match against Woongjin Stars. His opponent is free.
Hyvaa began his career in Broodwar on the Korean pro team eSTRO. He eventually became one of their best performing players in the Shinhan Winners league in 2009. He qualified for a few starleauges including the Bacchus OSL and the Nate MSL but was knocked out in the early rounds both times. He was drafted by STX_SouL in the fall of 2010 after the dissolution of eSTRO
Hyvaa began his carrer in SC2 with a win over Samsung Kahn's Kop in the Hybrid 2011-2012 Proleague Season 2. He would go on to play several times for his team during that season, and they placed 6th overall.
Hyvaa made his breakout performance of SC2 in the 2012 MLG vs Proleague Invitational, where he put up one of the top Regular Season scores. He would go 36-12 taking wins off of players such as aLive, HuK, IdrA, and SelecT. After making it into the championship bracket he beat SKT1_Rain 4 -1 to advance to the quarterfinals, where he would lose to Soulkey
He made his WCS premier in the Korean Season 1 Challengers League, as he beat Jaehon and hope to win his qualifier and get into the league. He then beat Terminator, First, and YoDa to qualifier for the Season 2 Premier League, which he is competing in at the moment.
Playstyle
Hyvaa is known for playing a rather aggressive playstyle. He relies heavily on All-ins and early game aggression to throw his opponents off guard. He has performed quite well in ZvP in proleague including wins over JYP, Bong, Zest, and free. He hasn't performed as well in his other matchups, but he is still a reliable player for STX_SouL in the Bo1 format,
Sorry to see him lose the first match, but I believe he can still make it out of the group. Also looking forward to his proleague appearances next week.
I updated the thread with more news and the new members.
Damn, getting eliminated in the Ro16 on tiebreakers is really rough. Hope he can do well against Life and Flash, but thats a pair of really rough draws.
Sad that hyvaa had to be the punching bag against flash both times, but it would be great if we could get to see him play in the Proleague finals. Still hoping he can pull through and get into Premier League again.
Shame Hyvaa! Well played! And I have to say, as an Innovation fan, this was the first time I was upset by him winning. You truly know how to play macro, you should do it more often!
