Welcome to the Alliance fanclub! After searching the forums for a bit and looking at other team pages, it seems that there aren't many Dota 2 fan pages on this site. Since the Dota 2 squad of the Alliance has done really well in the last 3 months and me being such an Alliance fanboy, I figured they could use a fan club here on team liquid! Since Naniwa already has his own fanclub, this one will mostly focus on the Dota 2 squad.
I started watching No Tidehunter after their controversial dismissal of EternaLEnVy where I felt they came off as a bunch of cowards. So I started watching their games prior to the dismissal of EE and after, almost hoping they would crash and burn. While they had a bit of a rough start with their new line up with EGM replacing EE, they slowly started to play better and better and eventually I found myself really liking their spot-on decision making, their stable gameplay, and their innovative strategies and soon saw them rise above all the western teams. I've since then discovered through interviews and streams that they actually seems like a nice group of people and that they really are a team of friends!
The line up consist of: Loda Admiral Bulldog s4 Akke EGM

Alliance went undefeated through the groupstage of the international and only lost one game on their road to the grand final where they dropped two games before defeating Na'Vi in a nailbiting final game. The are the first team to win the entire international without dropping a set so I think it's safe to say that they are currently the best dota2 team in the world!
Upcoming matches: Starladder season VII playoffs. 10/10/13 - 13/10/13

Do you agree with Lodas criticism of auis commentary?
I was somewhat annoyed by it as well as I believe it is not fun to hear someone nitpicking the players all the time. In my opinion it would be more fair and interesting commentary if instead of saying "I don't like this build" he would say: "With this build they might encounter this problem.."
|
Add me on the list please. Have been a Loda fanboy since like 2006 ^_^
also can anyone tell me what games AUI was casting?
|
Bulldog is a boss. I have enjoyed watching his journey from a pubstar to a pro

Where did Loda critisize Aui's casting? Personally I think he's LD's best co-caster. LD already gives his cast a ton of energy, enthusiasm, excitement, etc. Aui adds pure insight.

While I like Auis casting I think this time it was a bit over-analytical, especially since it was largely void of positive criticism, even though they were completely crushing every team. I like that pro-players try to deepen the casts, but this was beyond the understanding of most people who watched I'm guessing - he did raise some valid points, while they were small (i.e. some decision-making stuff, treadsswaping more actively to retain mana on AM iirc), it still sounded as if he was being really critical, which I think is a mistake on Auis part. Also, Loda knows that he is the better player, with the better team, achievement wise, especially after their display at G1. So why not just let those results speak for themselves, there's no need to call someone out who is just trying to do what they are hired (guessing he was?) to do.

Sign me up! Dot[A] best dota

Sign me up! Alliance #1. Interesting strategies and picks, combined with rock solid play makes them by far the most enjoyable team to watch. Looking forward to see how they do at the International.

Dedicating my 200th post to bumping the [A]lliance fanclub and celebrating their win at starladder. Congratulation Alliance to your victory!

Does the layout look wierd for anyone else on firefox? When Im using chrome, the names for the players looks just right. But when using firefox they appears out of order.
Also. GREAT FIRST DAY FOR ALLIANCE! This looks almost too good. I have to admit that due to work I have not watched a single game yet but i intend to watch the vods later. Any specifc match you could recommend?

Here we go: TeamLiquid vs Alliance!!
|
First game vs TongFu was amazing. And the Bulldog Sylla in game 2 OMG!
|
Alliance should be banned from all future tournaments... they are simply one league above everyone else.
Jokes aside, im so proud of being an Alliance fanboy and i hope they keep owning stuff through out the playoffs.

Still looking good [A]lliance!
|
|
They guaranteed a minimum of almost 300k already, not bad but i'm sure they would be disapointed by anything less than first now.
|
Crushing Na´Vi in game one. Just crushing.

Sign me up! Always been a fan since Loda since his SK days.

I KNEW there had to be an alliance fanclub! Sign me the hell up!
I thought the base race game vs LGD would be the craziest finish in the tournament, but holy shit the plays that were made in that last game vs Na'Vi just blew everything else out of the window. In my eyes a new standard has been set, not just for Dota 2 but for all of esports. I've been a fan of DotA 1, CS, WC3, SC2, all sorts of fighting games, competitive Nintendo games (Akke, you beast), but that game, that ending, this tournament, the high stakes, the teamwork, the amazing and clutch plays, it all just eclipsed anything I've ever seen.
Congratz Alliance, and huge props to Na'Vi too. Also shoutout to Orange, I'm definitely gonna keep an eye on their games.
Last but not least, I'm so happy Alliance won. If they would've lost that last game, it just wouldn't feel fair when they hadn't dropped a single series in the tournament up to that point. That's sometimes the way of things, but not today!
|
Congrats!
Best team won. Results speak for themselves. Nuff said.
|
SICK run at TI3. Unbelievable :D GJ
|
So well played at TI3 guys, Sweden is proud!
|
|
There is an article in swedish DN today about their victory in the international: http://www.dn.se/ekonomi/tre-fragor-till-svenska-mastarna-i-dota-2/
This is pretty big actually, I have never seen DN (Dagens nyheter ~daily news) report about E-sport before in this way. Usually it is "aftonbladet" that does this, but that the DN does it is interesting cause it is a more serious type of newspaper, Swedish equivalent to New York Times.
|
i figure this is probably the best place to express this, but damn akke is fucking sexy
|
sign me up! I get a hardon seeing all that gold.
|
It seems they are all back in sweden to rest up. Does anyone know when the dota-season starts again?
