Paul Whyte aka JonnyREcco, is a Scottish zerg player currenly playing for Team Dignitas. He is 16 years old and has recently finished school to play Starcraft 2 full time. He is one of the best UK players already, and is a rising star in the EU scene. He recently got 3rd place at WCS UK Nationals, beating some of the best UK players, including Demuslim (2-0) and Ourk (2-1).

Sign me up! I profess ignorance at much of the UK scene until the WCS, but this guy is one of the up and coming talents that has caught mine, and so many others' eyes
I think you should mention his race in the first post (I'm aware there's a liquipedia link), I always find it frustrating when a player is introduced, with elements such as his team and history and age and whatnot but not the race.

Really loving this kid and his Savior-esque play. His defense is a thing of beauty. Foreigner or not, I honestly give him got the strongest chance of anyone to take this TSL.
Not to brag (and not that I can prove this anyway), but in TSL 1, my money was on Iefnaij from the beginning and in TSL 3 my money was on Thorzain from when I saw his first-round play. In TSL 2, I believe I was expecting either Iefnaij or Mondragon to take it, so I don't have a perfect record of picking winners but 2 out of 3 ain't bad. In this TSL my money's on JonnyRecco.

He popped up onto the limelight and started gaining success after the Queen buff. The metagame completely fucked up a few Terran openers vs Zerg. Gasless ice fisher builds could now easily defend any potential harassment from hellion expands.and reaper expands when "defending hellions" wasn't exactly a problem for players pre-patch. If you watched the Stephano vs Polt series in Lone Star Clash, you'd see masterful defence against hellions pre-Queen buff.
When I watched his games against Keen in TSL4 I noticed a lot of them ended in Infestor Brood Lord late games. Granted, this was the one-dimensional meta of Wings at the time but the patchzerg era still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
I'm actually happy JonnyRecco didn't turn out to be 'just another patchzerg.' Britain needs a decent Zerg representative - we already have Bling representing Protoss and Demuslim representing Terran - and I genuinely think he's far better than Ziktomini.
Alas I feel I have misjudged JRecco, not his fault that he could prosper with a certain playstyle in WoL. He's looking pretty dangerous in HoTS, seen some nice games from him on various streams. Hope he can get picked up by a decent organisation.
