This is the fan club for my favorite observer on the planet, ST_Legend aka "Sauron, the Observer", a terran player for the team Startale. Nuke's launching out of ghost acadamies, units dancing, upgrades, harvesters lost, etc. He catches it all.
Legend on his fan club: "Gentlemen thank you so much. T_T...."
*Thanks DOA for the photo of Legend.
* The backlit keyboard he's using is either a Tesoro or Qpad or iOne or an Xarmor (all similar model mechanical keyboards)
Getting his head shaved after losing to Bomber on OTR. So sad.
Interview with Mr. Chae (and ladies, he's single.)
One starts to appreciate how good Legend is after watching tons of bad observers in foreign tournaments. They are all so terrible compared to Legend, who sees ALL.

i demand his face be pasta'd onto the eye of sauron.
Not to take away anything from Legend who really does a bangup job, but he's just an observer. Not having to talk while observing is a big plus to "not miss things".
Look at the TSL, there was a dedicated observer there too, and it was just as perfect.
Casting and obsing a the time (like in 99% of foreign events, including MLG and NASL) is sure to have an impact, when you're busy describing what's happening, your eyes are looking at it, not at the minimap.
Does this guy play for Startale, or is he just a Sauron-esque observer? Because, well, observing tons of games is kind of inhibitive to your practice and attempts at the GSL.

Whether or not what you say is true, it doesn't change the fact that he's been around for a while now and it's perfectly okay to show appreciation for someone who typically goes underneath the radar yet has such a direct impact on our viewing experience.
Sign me up, I remember when he was first hired everyone couldnt stand tasteless not observing, but now Legend has improved so much I can't remember what the GSL was like without him.
sign me up!... this is no underestimation about how he sees all! whenever i watch any other tournament, I am always a little shocked... He has spoiled me with how on the ball he is. Whatever relevant info, workers/units lost, income etc, nuke launch, drops..... hes there!!!

Sign me up btw
Hotbid watched replays in advance to know where the action was for TSL
sign me up =D the irony is that the more you dont notice the observer the better he is =D except for those battle camera angles, those are his moments if that peep mode mod gets into GSL in some form or another one day... soooon =D
By far the best observer in SC2. It's weird how you don't notice how good he is until you watch someone else observe and the camera is all shaky and twitchy and you miss drops all the time and all of a sudden the Zerg main is gone and you have no clue why or how.
I'm a huge fan of good observers, and I haven't seen anyone observe better than ST_Legend, sign me up! This all sort of makes me sound gay for his obsing skillz, but seriously everything from the smooth panning to every single gas timing, to every upgrade and nuke launched, he's a boss.
Hey guys Legend wants to be featured but Rich has denied him this. Make sure you support his stream and once Legend makes a TL account and a thread for his stream support him there too! He deserves to be featured with his amazing mini-map skills and camera control. ^_^
You really become aware of how great Legend's observing is, when you compare it to other events where the casters are observing. Especially when you watch it on a TV screen, the hectic scrolling of some other observers is really distracting. But this guy's scrolling is so smooth, he catches almost every action, he points out things with his cursor that the casters might have missed and it is the absolute icing on the cake, when he removes the interface during big battles.
Such a joy to watch. ST_Legend, if you ever read this, thank you!
Just announced on IPL stream that Legend is going to be observing most of IPL4! Awesome to see that organizations are recognizing how important top-notch observing is.

Well he's there for GSTL anyway so he's also helping make IPL more awesome. Props to the guy.
I'm pretty picky about my fanclubs, but sign me up. I've always loved Legend's observing, but after learning that he ALSO does the preshow kpop AND seeing how handsome he is...that does it, I'm a fan, let's make it official.
Love his work in IPL4, just lovelovelove his zooms and camera angle changes. Makes the fights and chases so much more exciting. And he never misses anything. Anything! And love his way when he clicks and selects stuff to highlight gameplay, that the casters might miss.
Tuning into the Korean stream on IPL4, I've really begun to appreciate the observing aspect of games. I don't understand a thing the Korean casters are saying, but everything that ST_Legend is observing is good enough for me where I don't even need to know what is being said. I was particularly only concerned with casting, but now realize how important observing is as well. Great job observing IPL4! I'm actually tempted to start watching GOMTV now. Sign me up =)
Side note: I've been trying to find him on ST's roster, but he doesn't appear on there even though he's a part of ST. Is it because he's not a part/full-time player or something?
ST_Legend actually has more APM than GoSu.ViBe, has faster multitasking hand speed than SlayerS_MMA, and has the map awareness of Liquid'HerO. Bonjwa of observing.
i always imagined this guy looking like a boss with his hair slicked back, smoking a lit cigarette in his black leather jacket, sitting on a block of cement obsing the game with one hand. Tourney can't be a legend without legend obs
I watched the IPL4 muted. This guy made the tourney so awesome. I loved when he was pointing at things and talking to me through mouse movement. He's awesome!
That moment in game 5 of aLive v Squirtle when Squirtle is walking up the ramp w/ a CC flying above and he freaking changed the camera angle gave me nerd chills. Simply amazing!
Couldn't watch IPL, but I know how awesome his observing is anyway I wish we could clone him so he can observe every single tournament and make them watchable even if the casters are bad. Sign me up!
I really never could appreciate his observing on GSL but this guy was so amazing at IPL.
His map awareness was flawless! And he picked out a lot of stuff that the casters even missed from time to time. This guy is such a beast, great job Legend! Thanks for the great work! :D
He always performs so well. Spot on observing. I'm seriously always in disbelief of how well he catches things. Especially those awesome things that happen so quickly. Great job at IPL 4!
SIGN ME UP FOR THIS BAD ASS, in the beginning of IPL 4 i wondered why the observer never went to the screen where the casters where talking about. After watching a few games i noticed his observing was AMAZING he was catching things the casters where oblivious to. Put that with his like non stop observing this man lives to his name, his nuke timing is amazing as well, as soon as a nuke i launched he goes striaght to the ghost academy then he will go somewhere else, right before it lands HES THERE
I love him so much, and having him communicate with us with his cursor when mediocre caster is caught in his bullsshit feels like sharing a little secret with Legend (while he is rolling his eyes at caster's blindeness) ^^

I'm afraid to ask, but what makes you say that?
In GSL OTR he lost to Bomber, and had to shave his head. Wolf asked how long does he think it'll take to grow back, and Legend answered that there's a myth in Korea that if you watch porn, hair grows faster.
Please add me to the list. This is the only fan club I ever want to be part of. Legend is true to his name and the only observer I've never found a single complaint in.
God this guy is too good to be human. He's like a secret bot artosis made then they pay Legend to pretend its him.
Last night was my first time watching korean sc2 commentaries (specifically the wcs qualifiers), and I gotta say the difference between Legend's observation skills compared to others I've seen is anything but subtle.

Do you mean you watched the Korean stream? Because AFAIK Legend doesn't usually do that. He was doing the WCS English stream, that's for sure, but... Or do you meam the Korean observing was worse?

Legend did the observing for both streams during WCS. He's talking about observers in other tournaments.
Legend is such an incredible observer, its seriously as if he watched the games 20 times beforehand to plan out exactly what to do. Hope he knows how appreciated he is, he should be paid the most of all the gom staff lol.

Or that he knows every possible build thats in the current meta right now There was a question like that when he was on OTR. It's just having knowledge about all the builds the players could possibly be going for. But the catching the nukes out of the ghost academy is the sickest thing he does as an observer.
Legend is a ridiculous observer. It's been said n times but it will never stop being true (until Legend gets old and retires or something along those lines)....Legend is just so good. Makes other tournaments' observers look pretty bad in comparison. I see a lot of people bashing whatever--casters, players, observers, tournament organizers, and what have you--but Legend is almost irreproachable. His observing is just consistently spot-on. What a boss.

It was called "Legend of the Swarm", and it was the last part of the last 5 episodes of GNN.
