Doesn't surprise me at all, after watching him streaming it was evident he is still a solid player even if he isn't a full time player anymore!

I suppose everyone has their go-to phrases whether they like it or not.
I personally just wish IGN could get PainUser a different microphone, something along the lines of a Neumann U47 or a Blue Bottle/Bottle Rocket with vintage B7 capsule - a nice classic sound that really de-emphasizes more nasal qualities to voices.
The first time I heard PainUser talk, I could swear it was me talking through a mic. I've had some very pleasing results doing close-mic voice work with the Blue mics. And sometimes I sound like a bicycle horn in person, so there's that. I think it'd be a nice investment for IGN, nailing down the voice-over sounds for unique casters that they are already investing in.
He was my favorite NA terran while he was active, and his stream was also the most informative for me + it had the best music on it /Oldschool deadmau5 albums, TATW with Above and Beyond, seriously sir, I bow before thee/ . Now he's one of the best casters out there, and still provides incredible results for a non-pro. Mad props to this guy, sign me up right away !
Anyone know if Painuser is still active in terms of casting and/or playing? Haven't seen him cast for IPL in a while nor have I seen him in any tournaments.

I think he and HD are doing other things for IGN. From the sounds of it you will be seeing both of them casting at IPL4. IGN had a poll to help determine who would cast the finals, and PainUser&HD just lost out to DApollo and someone. So I imagine that they will be casting at the event. Painuser is still active in the scene, you can catch him on Inside The Game every week as one of the hosts

Immediately when idra changed the conversation to personal attacks against destiny (itg), you realized shitstorm was coming and tried to stop it. Great job even if it was too late at that point. Really liked you on every show you've been on, you're like the sense of reason they seem to lack often. I've never understood the shit you've gotten so much this year either. Good casting and spokesperson, keep it up!

I watched PU's stream a few times and yesterday will probably be my last. He gets really peed off in chat all the time. When someone points out that he is being a hypocrite for raging at getting cheesed while just before the game he tells one of his friend that its part of the game and he shouldn't get pissed off at it.. then he goes to say that "why would you do it in a ladder game" and then says that its only internet points while he was only referring to tournaments that its ok to cheese /all in.
I then refer to that his stream page descriptions that its for "ALL AGES" and I point out he swears, call people retards and faggots anyways.. then he just gets pissed off that he never says faggot ever and bans the both of us.. complete disregarding the whole point that his stream is meant to be for all ages which is clearly isn't..
This guy really hates criticism even to the smallest intent of someone pointing out that he just a hypocrite.
I really enjoyed watching his stream, but I think he wants to be treated like a king on his chat where we can't really comment on his behavior at all.
