Ontario/Toronto?
That price looked huge at first, but then when compared to similar speed in Montreal, the price is even higher :O (and not even available where I am)

Well its a bit relative. For one internet and mobile services here are just better. Period. Fewer users, strong infrastructure. Compared to what Ive been used to its comparable and way cheaper. Atleast thats my observation. But I probably wouldnt pick this when I move in long term. I mostly stream 720 stuff here and there and it works fine but if I want to play games seriously the packet losses and the jitter is a bit heavy.

It's heartwarming, it has some pretty normal fantasy themes, but I'm not seeing groundbreaking story. Ah well, to date I have dropped exactly two anime mid-watch, and I don't think it's bad. (Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku wo and Upotte!! being those two anime.) + Show Spoiler [Ex-waifu] + I've watched anime longer than TL has existed. Being old is how I've had a real waifu. (For scale, I remember watching StarBlazers (aka Space Battleship Yamato) in early syndication and possibly during first run.) I found a pretty girl, there was some romcom aspects, we got married, and then after having been married for around 5 years she left me for a different guy. She now lives in the Pacific northwest with him and their daughter. That's the short version; I don't tell the long version. She also enjoyed anime; I think her favorite was Excel Saga.

Any show that gets me paying engrossed enough where it seems like its over quick is good. I have to agree, there is nothing spectacular about it, but it goes along very smooth and I for one am enjoying it. Perhaps exactly because it isnt trying to do anything special. On the flipside, Gate is a pretty novel and also quite enjoyable. Its exploring stuff that I havent seen for a while now.

It may just be my taste in SciFi authors, but Gate to me is not a novel story idea; Weber, in particular, has been banging the heck out of "modern army in fantasy world/classical world" for years. It isn't something I've seen in anime, though, and I think there's a lot of promise in what otherwise looks like it could be a somewhat subtle attempt at targeting otaku as an SDF recruitment drive. Rory is a trip. But something I hope gets answered soon is - how do modern Japanese react to real, no shit magic?

Haven't watched it yet but have had an eye on it for quite some time now. I can only rephrase what other people said because of this. From what I heared it's not that much of an original story and it has some hick-ups/inconsistencies here and there but aside from that it's a solid series to watch if you like fantasy/adventure and things like D&D. You can always read some reviews if you want to. There are some good ones out there.

Still no OVA continuation. Elementary kids with saws. The flashback gave me candy store and Konomi, so that was pretty good. Even KEITAI? showed up. I really wish this plushie running gag would die. Natsumi a shit.

Im sure there arent very many tropes left unexplored if you consider all media but modern army in fantasy world isnt really the only thing it has going for it.
