It's good but I can understand where you come from. It's pretty stupid at times but I would argue that it might be interesting to see it from another perspective once you know the end. I personally probably wouldn't rewatch it though, either.

Any manga to movie adaption never works tbh. Manga to Drama is acceptable sometimes though.

Technically not manga to movie.
But, edge of tomorrow was a good example of how to take a book and turn it into a movie while only using the concept and not so much the exact plot or charaters. It wasn't as good (imo) as the original but it did a fine job.

Edge of Tomorrow wasn't much of an adaption of the LN either from what I could tell. The only thing that survived is the premise. Still really cool movie. So underrated.
It kind of goes back to the adaption discussion we had ages ago. Where it's a good movie but not a good "adaption" of the source material.

Hollywood does garbage all the time. It's just a Cruise movie which means it's prob going to be decent. Either he doesn't pick bad scripts or he has a gift lol.

As much as I hate Cruise the Scientologist, Cruise the actor has been good. I have a hard time naming a bad movie he was in!
