FUCK THEY KILLED WOOLF!! Why?! Why did they do it?! Bastards. I'll never forgive Sunrise, ever. The series has really improved as of late and Asumo is finally going pro, even raping X-rounders. I guess it took someone important to die for shit to get real, and fuck well there you have it.
We will miss you Woolf. Did anyone else feel like it should have been Flit instead of Woolf? It would have made better for the whole revenge thing, plus he would be avenging his father which I feel would make more sense. Woolf seemed way more important than Flit to Asumo so far, but meh.
All the new shows suck. Is FLCL worth giving a shot? I've heard good things but for some reason haven't found the time to watch it.

Spoilers based on scans of magazines previewing Generation 3: + Show Spoiler +
Flit at least survives until Generation 3, and has an even bigger beard then, not to mention being old. Still has gray hair though.

I doubt many have. Unless you hunt or are born into a culture where guns are common, I don't see when you would get the opportunity.
I'd be surprised if so few have. At least among the people in this thread who live in the US.

Having seen FSN but not Zero, I must recommend FSN. FSN is amazing, though you probably won't appreciate the beauty of it as much unless you've read the visual novel or have seen Unlimited Bladeworks first. It's really like doubleinceptionbacktothefuturealternateuniversewtf. And the feeels man. Also Saber is kickass.

Production order is the intended order. Therefore, reading FSN and then F/Z is how its meant to be taken. FSN anime was really bland, and the VN is much better. Read FSN, don't watch it.

well it's only 6 eps so time should not be the biggest factor, apart from that it is crazy madness, you will know quickly if it fits your tastes, and shortly after it ends, i liked it, but it's not a huge favorite of mine or anything.

You should give it a shot. There're only 6 episodes (I've seen 1) and it's bizarre. You may like it or you may not, you'll only find out after watching ^^.

Watch in the intended order by reading the Visual Novel first then watching fate zero next. and completely omit the terrible anime(relative to the awesome presentation that is the VN) that is Fate Stay Night and Unlimited Blade Works.
So I've had this question for a while, but for people who only watch a few shows each season, how do you end up choosing what to drop? Do you watch the first few episodes of a lot of things? I feel like I can't drop anything once I start it, no matter how little I want to keep watching. But in turn that wastes a lot of time, so now my backlog is stupid.

I watch the first 3 episodes, after that you can get a good idea how the anime will play out and then I decide. some stuff just doesnt appeal to me at all and I'll drop it after 1 episode
Having been on quite a stint until now, recently I've begun watching a lot more anime than usual. My favourite at present is Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (all 3 seasons) and Monster. I'm also almost done with the short series Paranoia Agent, and that one has been taking me a while because strangely enough it doesn't interest me that much. Another anime I am interested in starting to watch is Berserk, and would like your guys' opinions on that one. I am currently reading through the manga of Berserk before watching the anime, and many people have said the manga is way better.

I used to be like that, Now I just watch the first 2-3 of everything, put on hold what I might want to watch later if Im free, or if people say they are good or turned out to be good. otherwise drop them later. Some you just know your not going to watch. Also depends what you want to get out of it. I watch alot of trash shows and just leave them qued on my tv till I fall asleep. Effectively serving the same purpose cable will do for you. Just because you stop watching something doesnt mean your dropping it. If its not interesting anymore and youd rather be doing something else then thats that.

In cases where I find the anime real bad, I drop it. Other cases when I get bored with an anime, I put it on hold, and then if I'm like "hey, this has been on hold for like half a year and I don't care" I drop it.

Berserk anime is solid. People say the manga is better, and I'd say that is mostly because the anime ends while the Berserk manga is ongoing, and covers lots of stuff that the anime didn't get to.

I usually drop the show when I have no motivation or care to wait for next week's episode. There are some exceptions, such as Shana, because I've already seen the first two seasons and want to see it through to the end. I was backlogged on Shana for like 10 episodes.
