It largely comedy but it does have action in it too. It slightly lean more toward the comedy compared to Fairy Tail.

+ Show Spoiler [Negima] + Overall, pretty good. I wouldn't say it was epic or my favorite but for its length, I'm impressed it managed to get better as it went on as opposed to worse. I really liked that there was constantly off screen training - only minimal amounts was shown to interest and inform the reader but not enough that it became repetitive. The necessary use of the time chamber for almost every form of training was bad, but I guess that's what happens when the entire story spans a little less than a year. Regarding that, I didn't like how for a ~350 chapter story, so little actually happened. Festival arc, leave for magical world, get back together, then final dungeon. While the story itself was great, it's something I would expect in a much shorter length. However, I understand this comes from what I consider one of its greatest strengths and weaknesses of having such a large cast. So many characters got plenty of screentime which was awesome but at the same time it drags out the main story in terms of length. This is both good and bad, but I think overall, it was executed quite nicely. It made me develop connections to many different characters I otherwise would not have cared for. At the same time, there's no characters that get really strong development. In terms of power and training, yes there is some, but the actual character development is spread so thin across the entire cast (although some do get a clear larger focus than others) that it's hard to appreciate. As for preferences, Nodoka and Eva are probably at the top but after that, it's so hard to choose. I think Yue would be 3rd for me. Or maybe she's just mixed at the top with the other 2 with no clear order =/ I was thinking Eva ending would be best after Negi became "immortal" The final boss went down way too easily though and having a bunch of new fighters appear and fight in what was only a few chapters long felt really out of place and unneeded, despite being pretty cool. Eva's ultimate ice attack was really awesome. Then the last ~20 chapters of wrap up was okay. Some parts were just stupid random filler while other parts were nice to have. As for the final chapter, my reaction is the same as others'. Not telling us Negi's choice is like the worst lol troll ending possible. Also there was Asuna being put to sleep for 100+ years only to return back to the main time the next chapter lol. Nagi appearing in the final chapter with a very convenient explanation of being saved by Negi is just even more lol, but I won't judge the manga as a whole for this. Still pretty bad ending though.

Last time I checked Beezlebub was a comedy about some demon baby boy, and a hot maidu VA'd by Itou Shizuka. It's not really shounen.... I enjoyed it till around episode 30-something (an episode when they played volleyball or something), then it seemed to try to hard and most of the characters seemed to change. I watched a few episodes after that, but it still felt different. On March 11 2012 13:24 Chiharu Harukaze wrote: + Show Spoiler [ZnT] + Don't worry. He'll probably come back randomly because it'll turn out Tabitha cast a spell that made it seem dead and then hid him in Germania for a Season or two or something. Or some elf with impossibly huge breasts will sing a song and bring it back to life. Yeah, probably the second one. + Show Spoiler [ZnT] + I dunno, this is supposed to be the last season and there's only a few more episodes left. The sword had been getting VERY few lines the past few episodes. I could see them killing him off and not bringing him back. I also lol'd hard when the priest said "You have to live", then proceed to push that other guy into the deep chasm.

The Pope's thought process is screwy. You can either get nom'd by the Ancient Dragon or "live" but that requires pushing Julio off their dragon from a very high place into the pit far below, which would presumably lead to his death. Yeah... Clearly, Julio is going to be alive, but still... I did not like Derflinger dying at all. I agree that he was one of the better characters in the series. I thought Louise was tolerable this episode. She's an okay character when she isn't blowing up Saito over every perceived act of impropriety.

It's really a sharp contrast with Guilty Crown's style of storytelling (which is horrible). As I thought, Array and the others are not the bad guys - this is pretty much confirmed this week because they "follow Yurikano". I also feel that they are pacified because for the most part, Madoka reminds them of Yurikano. I think it is a no-brainer at this point that Madoka is Yurikano's daughter or sister or something like that. They MUST be related somehow. By the way, Asteria's speech in this episode about food and body, etc., gave me some serious Tenjou Tenge vibe. She is now my favourite character.

Hey, if K-On! gets to be seinin, then Beezlebub gets to be shounen. I still don't know why people are hung up on whether a show is "shounen" or not, like they are too proud to enjoy a show thats "shounen".

I thought Louise was tolerable this episode. She's an okay character when she isn't blowing up Saito over every perceived act of impropriety. + Show Spoiler + lol I was wondering what could possibly be discussed about ZnT. First of all, the Pope's thinking appears stupid but you are forgetting that jumping off the dragon means Louise and co. can just catch him like they did with Saito. 99.9% chance of survival. What's stupid is why the Pope didn't just jump with him, until you realize that the dragon's eyes changed color after eating the Pope. What this means is the Pope and dragon have fused into a truly all powerful being that will take over the world and create a true harem ranging from lemon-chan to melon-chan and then to watermelon-chan and beyond. Louise logic is also really stupid. life draining skill =/= life sacrifice skill. All this stupid forced drama over a skill that won't kill him unless he uses it for probably 20+ more times. Also, chances are he has the Reiji Maigo 2.0 so he will always replenish his magic despite that skill. Besides, if there is ever a time to use it, I think when a giant dragon that threatens the world appears is a good time to use it. Sword guy dying is okay too because Saito still has the scabbard, which is obviously where his soul is kept. So Saito can just get a new sword and the soul will take over the new sword and he'll be back. But yeah, he might need to traverse to the land of breasts to find a new sword he likes.

World vs Hitler was awesome but now it's stupid Japanese inner delegation crap. The series should've just ended with Koizumi killing Hitler, then dies Bush, Putin, and Yulia surviving. RIP Koizumi,Pope, Papa Bush, American Secretary of Defense Hell Pope vs Hitler was probably the best part in the series. Well he has to build up to something new since he can't just use the novelty of MANLY WORLD LEADERS PLAYING MAHJONG anymore.

Putin, Yulia, Bush Jr. still alive. besides the series should've ended with Super Aryan Hitler dead. At End the series =/ If he wanted to continue, sure topping fighting vs Space Nazis is hard but there is enough to make fun of in the political world than what they are having now for chapters. The author will likely have a Super Aryan 2.0 chapter involving Isolde but that would actually be good do see what she did after escaping the moon. I am guessing Tristan is dead. But then again I don't recall Isolde activating super aryan ever so she might just suck.

I guess the mangaka figured parodying local politics would sell better lol, plus the magazine readership tends to be more right-wing like the rest of the Japanese internet if I remember right. Once they've finished the current arc I assume they'll finally move on to 'international-class mahjong' ![]()

The whole space nazi thing was hilariously epic but it's settled and done and continuing it would be jumping the shark I think. I'd expect some sort of 'international-class mahjong' over some sort of issue that requires Koizumi's power. On another note the new Good Ending: + Show Spoiler + Aaaand there we go trainwreck resumed. Even when utsumi grows balls and mans up things still stay the same, poor guy can't catch a break lol...
