I dunno, that doesn't sound like something Luffy or Law would do after the little reveal about Law and DD 13 years ago. Law is the type though, and Oda works in mysterious ways...

Has anyone considered that Oda might pull more politics on us(in the game of thrones sense)?
Changing alliances, betrayals, intrigues and characters that don't just vanish after their arc.
Law is only the second character meeting the strawhats again after their introduction arc. The other one was Buggy.
I'm obviously omitting those who appeared in Impel Down as prisoners or the Shichi Bukai appearing during the Marineford War. Those were required for continuity.
On the other hand we have for the first time a limited number of known big enemies(4 Yonkou), for the first time a known third party(Kidd alliance) and for the first time a sympathetic story arc boss(Doflamingo cares for his crew).
Especially Doflamingo and the 4 Yonkou all have been known, at least by name, for ages already.
I wouldn't put it past Law or Doflamingo to change sides. Or Caesar Clown for that matter. One can dream.

I would love that and I think Oda is heading in the more politically complex direction. I expect the Strawhats to still have the same personalities though and that'd be what still makes Luffy special. While everyone around him is dead serious, plotting things, etc. he's just enjoying the ride, having fun but all the while extremely determined to beat up any assholes that cross paths with him and try something funny.

Is Dofla really the first arc boos who cares about his underlings? Tbh I can´t remember anyone who did care, but I don´t think Dofla is really the first one who shows feelings for his underlings. What kind of sense is this? I doubt it will save him from getting his ass kicked.

Buuuut, if we think about it, it might as well be that DD is somehow getting forced/blackmailed by Kaidou.
I mean, if there is people blowing up the factory for SAD, obviously thats sorta DD´s responsability but instantly personally getting murdered by Kaidou does seem a bit excessive does it not? Maybe there is more that we dont know.

I am pretty sure Doflamingo is the first to care for his underlings. It could be that Blackbeard does too, but we don't know yet.

True, but it doesnt mean that he is not blackmailed/forced by Kaidou. If i remember correctly DD only provides the artificial fruits to Kaidou, usually an open market always gives you the best price as a seller so why only to him?
Again, im not even saying im convinced myself that this is the case, but its definetly not impossible.

I have a hard time believing a former CD would find it acceptable being blackmailed/forced into something by anyone. It's probably more the case of DD not wanting to be unable to fulfill his promises and facing the consequences of such an event (you don't deliver on your deal -> face destruction).

Kaidou probably just pays the best price plus a little extra for exclusivity
there probably not massproducing these things like there pokemon theres probably a pretty limited stock and Kaidou makes sure he gets first dibs

I don't think Law will die. I think it'll be robin 2.0 where he joins the Straw Hats on a whim and then leaves, only to have Luffy rescue his ass and kindle their friendship. Also I want to see Law + Luffy vs Kaidou.

I think it's very amusing how Law warns Dofla about underestimating strawhats, but I feel like Law's doing the same (with the dissolving of the alliance thing)
I also wonder why it's so certain that Kaidou will go after Dofla just because Dofla can't produce any more Smile. It's like Dofla is on a very tight leash, I wonder why and I wonder if it has something to do with his past. I mean, why waste resources when you can just keep Dofla under your control, especially given how useful he seems to be even without Smile?

Doflamingo and Kaidou have some sort of business deal. If their deal (whatever it is) gets broken, of course Kaidou would get upset. And we are talking about vicious pirates here. If Kaidou feels slighted/cheated/betrayed by DD not upholding his end of their deal, its no surprise Kaidou would retaliate.
