There are some similarities but it's more of a minor part of his fruit whereas Morias and Big Moms fruits major focus is the creation of minions (so far at least). | ||

Moria being able to move shadows is a minor part, the main part of his fruit is manipulating his own shadow, moving shadows into other people/corpses is one of those advanced tricks and honestly has limited use considering how vulnerable the original body becomes, they had to go through alot of hoops at thriller bark to make it work also we know basically nothing about Big Moms fruit, im willing to bet theres alot more to it then just being able to take soul and sprinkle it around | ||

If Kaido was so big on death removing his entire life span seems like an easy solution. I mean the ability seems like an instant-KO if it touches you, so whats stopping it? Does haki stop it? (Im putting money on this, at least to some extent) It'll probably have a ton of neat tricks to it though, like maybe her lifespan is just gargantuan and she can use her own soul-bits to like, make the ground beneath her come to life to her advantage and she basically just makes the entire area shes fighting in her own personal fighting terrain? Even that seems entry level, could be a lot of weird neat stuff the Soul Soul Fruit could be capable of. I also look forward to seeing if Brooke is either hard-countered by, or hard-counters this particular fruit. | ||

oh I figured it out!! One piece ability tier list is sword>haki>devil fruit which is why buggy is the strongest df user because his df can ignore haki and swords | ||

First of all, it doesn't work like seastone. Seastone when in contact with a devil fruit user will both prevent the devil fruit user from using their powers and also cause them to weaken. Armament haki doesn't do that. Armament haki (on top of its normal durability and strength enhancing abilities) protects the coated area from the influence of devil fruit powers. We see that most commonly when people use armament haki to hit a logia devil fruit user's real body with the haki-coated limb or weapon, but we've also seen it used against a variety of powers. Off the top of my head Sentomaru used it to hurt Luffy despite his rubber body (no, that doesn't mean that a reject dial, Lucci's Rokuogan, or Fishman karate is also haki. Shut up Forikorder), the three admirals used it to protect the execution scaffolds from Whitebeard's earthquake attack, Vergo used it to prevent Law's Room from messing with his body. Haki isn't exactly a silver bullet though. As a devil fruit user there are ways to protect yourself from it. For example Aokiji defended himself against Whitebeard's Bisento and stated that defending against Haki users was tiresome. It isn't exactly clear what he did, but two possibilities come to mind. He either used observation haki to pre-split around the bisento in a way that he doesn't touch the haki, or he used his own armament haki to block Whitebeard's haki. It isn't perfect though since Akainu does get damaged by a few hits from Whitebeard later. The fight between Law and Vergo is another good example of how to fight against an opponent who is good at armament haki. Law provokes Vergo into spreading haki through his entire body to cut him in half when the haki is thinner. As for Big Mom you can presumably protect yourself from her stealing your lifespan using haki, but if your haki is too weak you might still lose some. It would be pretty typical for Luffy to lose another ten years of his life while fighting Big Mom. | ||

or he used his own armament haki to block Whitebeard's haki. im fairly confident its this one, in gear 4 Luffy covered himself in a large concentratin of Haki and when Doflamingo went to kick him he was immune since hes rubber so seems like if you use equal or greater Haki it negates your opponents haki | ||

I was under the impression that it was something special about gear 4th that made his body both haki covered and still rubbery. Could be very wrong but that is how I interpreted that exchange. Also how funny would it be if Brook just straight hard countered big mom and beat her 1v1 xD Would never actually happen, I just think it would be hilarious. All that hype and Brook ends up just owning her because she can't grab his soul. | ||

I don't think they have much chance in a straight up head on fight, but it's been a theme in One Piece of "abusing" certain fruits (Luffy vs Enel being the first case of 1-sided hilarity) | ||
