Can't wait for it to start. Although waiting is something all ice and fire fans should be quite used to.

Maybe they feel that in order to really emphasize the fact that "Winter is coming" they will gradually increase the amount of snow. Winterfell when the Books start it is spring when I remember correctly so it's not wrong that there is no snow even in Winterfell. You'll get your Snow when the episodes at the Wall come ^^

You'll get your Snow when the episodes at the Wall come ^^ A small excerpt from the book from the scene of when they find the direwolves. + Show Spoiler + They found Robb on the riverbank north of the bridge, with Jon still mounted beside him. The late summer snows had been heavy this moonturn. Robb stood knee-deep in white, his hood pulled back so the sun shone in his hair. He was cradling something in his arm, while the boys talked in hushed, excited voices. I've always read the books imagining Winterfell to be snowy. I had to make sure that I haven't been wrong the entire time so I went back to find a line of text stating that there in fact is snow. I was very certain that the dead Direwolf had been found in snow which is why I was a bit dissappointed by the picture I linked earlier.

![]() I always imagined the throne as having more sharp edges and somewhat curvy (influenced by the famous drawing of Jaime and the description in the books that someone sitting on it can be injured if s/he's not careful), but this is awesome and perhaps more realistic. Excellent teaser, in my very biased opinion, as it manages to convey the strained atmosphere very well and offers a look at the complexity of the show. My excitement level for the main trailer (where they can show the Others angle and more of the kids) is now at maximum. January is going by pretty fast, only 3 more months to go! + Show Spoiler + Robert not holding his warhammer. Is that a boar spear? :D

In the books they said Winterfell was built on top of some hot springs and that through the wall flows hot air (or was it water) and that is why Winterfell is like a Oasis in the frozen wasteland. They also said that during winter people from all round move to live near winterfell to be warmer and survive.

Are any of you conlang fans? I got really into Na'vi (here is me singing the robot unicorn song in Na'vi lol). The people who made http://www.learnnavi.org are also making http://www.dothraki.org. There's already a Dothraki dictionary up with the few words that have been revealed in interviews. http://docs.dothraki.org/Dothraki.pdf Are any of you going to learn Dothraki when we get more access to it? Here's how to say "blood of the dragon": qoy zhavvorsi =D
