Syrio's probably my favorite oneshot minor character. Has anything been revealed of him yet? Is he even going to be in the series? | ||

They could do away with the whole Jon giving Arya Needle and Eddard finding someone to train Arya element entirely, and then hand wave Arya having some experience with swords from play-fighting as a kid or something. Then when the hammer drops, Arya just runs away from the Lannisters/Ser Meryn in a made-for-TV chase scene. The part I am concerned about is Syrio's teachings (see with your eyes etc) is pretty central to Arya's character development, and removing that element entirely will remove a ton from Arya's story, which might be doable if the TV show doesn't intend to follow each character's plot as strictly, but I wouldn't agree with that. Also, they should have Syrio just because of his badass lines: "You will be stopping there. Are you men or dogs that you would threaten a child?" | ||

Miltos Yerolemou is cast as Syrio. Also, I will bet all the money in the world that + Show Spoiler + The scene with Arya+Jon is kept. | ||
