we already knew the family had ties to Zeref
3rd wasnt entirely filler, there was important plot at the end there

Well I just started reading the manga and watching the anime together and I must say its a fun show so far. A little too much "make everything happy and deus ex machina it up" at times and Meh on how they handled Jellal's character but still its good.

Last guy is definitely Makarov, looks way too much like Laxus to be someone else.
i liked these chapters. not sure how much of that is just relief that the time travel arc is over, though. wonder if his publisher just told him to get rid of all that shit and move on. would explain the ridiculous gray death > ultear sacrifice segment.
