cobra's comeback is cool though wonder what's gonna happen with all the useless non dragon slayers. are they just going to chill and watch? or are they stuck fighting/distracting this random ass future rogue while natsu joins the dragonfite also what the fuck is the point of bringing back dragons to kill the guy (dragon now) that killed all the dragons. like wat. are all the future characters full retard | ||

I don't think that the problem is that it's not supposed to work. I think it's more the fact that, other than being able to eat different kinds of magic and generally being super resilient, dragon slayers and their magic have not been shown as anything "amazing". Natsu uses the same abilities in every fight, no matter who it's against. That makes it somewhat anticlimactic when that same magic is shown to work against dragons. It's supposed to work that way, it just doesn't feel right imo. Especially when it follows Makarovs attacks doing nothing at all. | ||

If that's the case how did it happen, with the door thing closed now? i'm going to tldr this because tendinitis is flaring up, will clarify more tomorrow - natsu and gajeel couldn't get out of fried's enchantment back when laxus tried his takeover; rule was that 'no old wizards could leave' but they couldn't leave, suggesting they are much older than they look - zeref knows natsu, but natsu has no recollection of zeref; zeref has been living on tenrou for an assumedly long and undetermined period of time, while natsu had never been before s-class trial - original eclipse plan was to go back in time to defeat zeref before he does all that shit - before this week seemed like future rogue was following stable timeline loop, what with the whole "i came back because of dragons and because i came back here there be dragons" (not sure now) - dragons either get defeated or team humanity gets desperate enough to send people back - sends back dragon slayers because there are too many dragons back there - natsu and gajeel and who knows else goes back - plotkai occurs, zeref doesn't get defeated but he figures out who natsu is - 400 years ago zeref said something changed him - zeref (and gajeel and probably wendy) stay in the past and possibly become dragons - they rest for 400 years knowing that big black dragon and evil emo black wizard teenager haven't been defeated and wait for their future human selves - they train them - also likelihood that other dragon slayer teaching dragons were the former dragons themselves | ||
