If the dragons are really from the present, then my guess is that they are here to stop some OTHER apocalypse, like activating the Eclipse, or it´s something to do with the dragon graveyard. From what we´ve seen of dragons so far I don´t think they are going on a murderous rampage for no reason.

My question is, when exactly did Rogue get his dragon training if Gajeel mentored him in Phantom Lord? Continuity wise I'm confused. It's either:
a) Rogue always had dragon training and Gajeel always knew, even though this was never made significant before. I also doubt Rogue "killed his dragon" before being mentored by Gajeel, so I see faults in this idea. or
b) Rogue got his dragon training during some period AFTER Gajeel left Phantom Lord, indicating that dragons are still in existence which should be a big deal to the Fairy Tail dragonslayers.
