It's gratuitous and doesn't bring anything to the story, and considering that without it the manga wouldn't be anything great to begin with, it doesn't help its case.

In situations where they really shouldn't be but they go for the "oops my boobs fell out" stuff or the "let me just show this awesome fighting scene from this angle where I put a camera right behind lucy's ass."

That is what is annoying. If there was just some nudity or stuff, which actually fits somewhat into the story or the situation, then it's fine, but if it's just blatant fanservice or "humor" which isn't really funny just stupid then blah.

I love FT.
I just hate that part of FT.

At least Fairy Tail is mixing some shit up. Usually, they'd all be fighting stupid 1v1 battles and winning through the power of friendship.
