Decent laning and farming from Dendi followed by signature falling off late game vs Penta. Doesn't help that Vega's supports are "questionable at the best". I assume that's what General was talking about in his tweet.

He is conservative, he doesn't want to change from a mid position, he is passive and doesn't have a leadership qualities required at a pro level. In my opinion, NaVi fans are completely right when they put a major blame on Dendi: his attitude is completely 2012-based. Current dota changes so rapidly, if you aren't willing to change, you are out - tight competition, limited resources, etc. And Dendi thinks he can keep his status quo and a high level skills set - sorry dude, this isn't even working out in pubs. He wants to play proDota solely as a Mid player. He doesn't want to play proDota to WIN AT ALL COSTS. And he thinks he is a decent teammate - and think that public opinion leaders (casters, analysts, whatever) made him a scapegoat because they are ENVY (well, thats what haters always do!) Problem is that dota was/is always a team game.Who cares how much you work at your game and how much NaVi pay you if you don't win your games? Sadly, no one. It's professional sports, not charity. And you should know when to retire (at least from your current position) - people can't cherish you fully as a legend you undoubtedly are, when you are acting as a hindrance. If there is a need of justification of "hate", I'd give you one. Resolution, Iceberg, No[O]ne, fn!, Nix, yoky, - this list only contains an established pro players and it is still huge asf - all of them could have at some point of their career come to NaVi and lead team to a new victories if they were allowed to play mid. Instead Dendi stayed in his zone of comfort, and, and after all those years at the bottom, team didn't even make out of the open quals. Don't know much about his in-game personality, but he is a shiity teammate for that whole reason. Bluntly speaking, no need to be friends with velheor, for example, because he is not even remotely good and you lost access even to decent players long ago. No "lack of captainship or team spirit" excuse, it is plainly the lack of raw skill. People can call me Dendi/NaVi hater all day long, but I don't know any other player who acted remotedly close to this and that's something - people were begging to rebuild NaVi team around Sonneiko years ago. (who solely brought NaVi on his back to their last TI, both as a captain/drafter/support player) and now if they don't rebuild around Crystallize, NaVi's dota team after being Dendi's playhouse for 3+ years is finally dead. I wonder if there is any other team who will take him as a mid after that..

The CIS qualifiers for TI showed that there's plenty of talent there, CIS teams impressed me the most out of all the other regions, so there's a good chance some of those teams or some players might end up on NaVi. At least that's what Im hoping for.

He is stubborn, we agree. But.. explain to me how any of those non-captain players would have led NaVi to victories. Because with them a captain would have agreed to join NaVi as well, maybe? Are any of those that good, just to give one example, that they could have carried rMN-, Biver, Pajkatt and General? IMHO, No[O]ne is the only arguably better skilled player of the list, aside from him the only player who saw success was Resolution, while not playing mid anymore, in a patch that favored him, his hero pool and playstyle, and after that he became once again just another player out there.

Honestly never heard of him before. I would have more faith in any sonneiko team over a dendi led one. If dendi as a teammate is an obstacle to a succcesful team, then I'm fine with him gone. Its been a good many years. I still believe dendi has what it takes to be successful again as a mid. Just bad luck and poor captaincy. But I'm proud of the credibility navi 2016 showed despite their ultimate choke at ti. Winning the summit was so great as a fan. All the best.

But now I'll just stop, they're gonna be nothing but a random T2 CIS stack I wish Dendi the best of luck, but if he isn't willing to switch to a 3 like all old school style mids like Fata, S4 have done he is just done for and should retire.

As for the new squad: Im actually happy with these players, Crystalize and Sonneiko had good success, the only one Im not so sure about is Blizzy, IIRC he played mid for Vega and I wasnt too impressed with his plays. But he is playing offlane for NaVi so maybe he can do better in that position. I've watched MagicaL a few times before on DotaTV and he seemed like a very good player, I think he can do well with the right team. Good luck to them!

Blizzy was offlane for Vega as well; lots of Batrider and Beastmaster in his hero pool.
