During the early-phase of the game, you want to take advantage of her ultimate to build up your permanent damage. Thus, you will need to buy any damage-dealing items; just survivability and items like Halberd to give you an advantage during your ultimate: Duel! ...should be "not need to buy any"? I kind of disagree with that, anyway. Most of her survivability core (armlet AC etc) gives her a good chunk of damage. Sure, she doesn't want to go glass cannon, but she still wants to build to kill things. | ||

TI3 was free anyway, it's just to promote it for players who may not have been aware watching through DotaTV was free (and as I stated before, to promote the competitive scene for new players... think about it, these boxes are from level 1-10 until the last one which is 5 levels above your current level. And the whole time you get a new tutorial message with each one you open, it's pretty obviously for new players to learn how the Armory works, how Gems work, how Crafting works). Other tournaments are also not run by Valve, and are there to make money to hold more tourneys/hire broadcasters. | ||
